Apparently “the fans” were able to place a vote somewhere. (Maybe NBA.com.)

Not sure why they weren’t given a narrow list of choices, such as the top-10 “most likely” candidates. But apparently they weren’t, and the fans voted for Derrick Rose.

Hehe, that sounds like the sort of story the NBA would come up with to cover for some idiot "sports journalist".

I remember years ago there was some idiot vote that the journalist was pissed when it became public knowledge.

For the last twelve years fans can vote online and it becomes the 101st ballot for MVP. There's a lot of people in New York.

Very impressive year from Stan Van Gundy somehow making the Pels even worse on defense when that was meant to be his main calling card. Shame we won't see an encore and I'd imagine his career as a head coach is over.

Yep. Seems like it's over for Stan. Nice riddance. Good coach on his Orlando days, but couldn't adapt to the modern game in the recent years.

OKC are the new Celtics.

Kemba Walker makes more than the rest of the roster combined for next year ... much more.

They have 3 first round picks this year and, I think, 18 first round picks in the next 5 years total.

Add to that that SGA and and several other young interesting players are on cheap deals for a couple years ... OKC is going to be a player in NBA player movements like Philly was during the Process in the next couple years is my guess just because they will have a full roster and loads of cap space.

The Process was a complete waste of time for Philly. Boston has done what with their picks? They got lucky when Philly traded with them to get Fultz and Tatum fell to them. Picks are nice to have, but this isnt the NFL. If we are having trouble shipping the 7th pick, mid to late 1st dont mean squat to me.

It didn't work, but the reality is that OKC has a HUGE haul of assets and very little cap ... they will TRY to maximize both by taking bad contracts (see Walker, Kemba) to stay above the minimum while trying to develop young talent.

Lamello doesn't have as much pressure as Wiseman does though. He is the second brother so even his dad's crying can't mess with expectations too much. Wiseman is joining a team that has 3 championships and went to 5 straight finals, have lost many top-end level talents and need to get a lot better fast.

Either way if Wiseman balls out next season, no one will care much about that pressure interview he said.My main issue is the interview that he said he talks to KD every day. What the **** dude?

If Mavs name Kidd the HC, either he or zouks will be gone by the 2023 season. He’s a prick and Luka seems to be alienating a lot of people too.. gonna be fun to watch though

There is something about owners being blind when it comes to former players who think they can coach.

I don't get the infatuation with Kidd. Portland was said to be initially interested early in the process, then there seemed to be backlash with local media and fans about his name being mentioned, due to his past. Apparently, withdrew his name. Both terms with Milwaukee and Brooklyn did not end well. We'll see how this goes, but it is a risky hire, especially when a player on your roster is one of the best players in the league.

I like the hire of new blood into the HC ranks. Ime Udoka is exactly that with Boston. He's been on HC watch-lists for a while now, since he was an assistant with the Spurs, so it's good that he's getting an opportunity.
