Having Harden out there as a decoy is 100x more effective than Mike James being out there. and I like Mike James but you could see that Harden still commanded defensive attention.

TBH I more worried about the Bucks wising up and relentlessly attacking Harden on the other end. Harden just as a floor general has a positive impact on offense (like that was an old man Kidd type of game from him last night), but if he can't move, he's a liability on defense.

Nondescript wrote:Man Joe needs to step up. He has been my favorite Net for a long time and I thought he turned a corner this year but this series has got me questioning that fat contract.

I'm worried, but not because of the contract. His salary isn't really that crazy. There are still like 28 teams that would take him at that price.

If the Bucks want to play ISO ball against Harden instead of relying on their usual offense, we will win game 6 and the series.

Not just ISO ball, I don't think Harden can fight through screens.

And their "usual offense" is garbage, they've put up a 100 ORTG this series. Any mismatch can greatly improve that horrible number. And they already run plenty of ISO, doing it against Harden instead of our best defender in KD would make a lot more sense!

I'm just going off memory, but the times Harden was beat on the defensive end was when ever they were able to get a switch into him forcing him to move laterally. If he goes under screens because he can't fight through them then he's still ok unless he's guarding one of their better shooters.

If a 70's type crime-wave is back in NYC, and since you have a better chance at hitting the lottery than getting a (right to carry) gun permit, it's time to bring back the 007 for the average citizen. I know for sure I would find one if I still lived on the lower east-side, and you can still get them on Ebay.

Interesting column about 007's back in the day:

Anyway, I hope you're okay and take care of yourself bro.

I dont think attacking harden on defense helps. even hobbled he is a good post defender and if you put him on PJ tucker, tucker cant reaaly attack anyone

if they were smart, they would put giannis on harden, pressure him and double him. force role guys to shoot and harden to not turn it over vs that size and pressure

And then we take Harden off ball and run screens for Durant, and we dare Giannis to slack off Harden at the 3 point line.

We're talking about defense. But they'd never put Giannis on Harden anyway.

I haven’t been able to be on here as much but I will say last night was one of the greatest game I’ve ever seen in Nets history. That KD performance is definitely up there with Lebron’s historical game in Boston and Detroit.

Jeff Green was amazing. I think the series is over by now if he didn’t miss so many games in the first 4.

I don’t see Harden being remotely as bad in Game 6. I think he probably did come into the game tentative and nervous to explode on the left leg but I think he’ll be much better.

Damn bro, that's awful. Hope you're feeling better. Where'd this happen?

I appreciate the support, guys. I have some deep cuts and fractured teeth right now. I’m in great spirits otherwise.

This is correct. i think he could get some turnovers that turn into instant dunks + crowd hype and hinder our ability to get into our sets. and for the bucks, its better then wasting Giannis sitting in the corner next to joe harris

Harden's too smart for that. He'll defer to KD. If Giannis wants to watch his team lose while face guarding Harden in the corner, by all means....

it works the same way as guarding joe harris. if harden doesnt have the ball, Giannis just becomes a helper, only instead of helping off harris, he is helping off a worse shooter who is injured.
