I honestly thought that Stotts was going to break Ramsey's tenure record for the Blazers. I seem to remember reading somewhere that historically, teams that move on from long-tenured coaches tend to see pretty big dips in wins. That and there tends to be a period of fairly rapid coaching changes over then next few years...

Alarming statistic but not shocking. Teams that fire long tenured coaches are usually having issues beyond coaching which unfortunately is like Portland as we managed to hold onto our biggest problem (olshey) while forgoing someone in stotts who wasn’t great at the end but that is all secondary to the mismanagement of this team

Agreed...as much as I couldn't stand Stotts' defensive team strategies at times, the bigger issue has always been what to do with two middling to poor defenders at the point of attack on defense. Stotts did an okay job at hiding that roster mismanagement for a lot of years.

You're free to use the report button or PM about it instead of making a passive aggressive comment, Epicurus, because you're upset your thread got locked. There's also a distinct difference between a relatively inexperienced poster who doesn't visit the boards a lot posting a duplicate thread and a poster who is here every day posting a duplicate thread.

It was a duplicate. And you know that is not what the sentence meant. It meant there is a difference between a poster who is not around a lot creating a duplicate thread and you, a poster who is frequently around and has been for nine years, who posts everyday and know the rules creating a duplicate thread.

You created a thread meant for the express purpose of trying to complain that Terry was fired for his failures. You know it was not just because he lost in one first round. When your thread was closed you made passive aggressive PMs and now you're making a passive aggressive post. I get it. You're very protective of him for reasons undisclosed, but lashing out at everyone who has a criticism about him, or becoming upset because your duplicate thread was closed, and becoming so angry about it that you get hostile with moderators - or anyone for that matter - in PMs isn't going to be tolerated.

and I'm okay with that honestly. If she isn't ready, she isn't ready. But if this is a NO rumor he's passing through friendly media sources to deflect on the bungling of the Billups choice, we'll find out when she gets hired by some other team and knocks it out of the park. And at this point, I kind of suspect this is what the real story is.
