Stevens flipped 71 inches of NBA players for 166 inches of NBA players, for a net gain of 95 inches. He has been impressive in his short time.

First of all, no surprise here. Writing was on the wall for a Celtics/Kemba split. OKC always made the most sense. Many people on this board have discussed trade possibilities with OKC being a common destination. This deal makes sense for both teams based on where they are in building.
For me, I like Horford coming back even at age 35. He's the healthier player. He knows the team & the city. He stretches the floor, gives The Celtics a facilitator (dribble handle offs, etc), and a veteran voice that I think the team was lacking this past season. Not to mention his contract is a better contract VS Kemba's.
Let's not sleep on Moses Brown either. Kid has talent and did some nice things once given an opportunity last season.

More moves are coming. No question.

Kemba is horrible and had the worst contract in the league. Getting rid of him was a miracle

Just another sign of the slow death of the Celtics as a contender. Gone from having Hayward, Horford, Irving, Tatum and Brown to now just Tatum and Brown.

Give it a few seasons and they’ll demand out as they realise this team is going nowhere.

I just know he had like a 20pt 20reb half against us this year.

I hate giving up the 16th pick in Brads first year as gm, Ainge really did a poor job the last few years. Now it makes sense why they were working out all those less none names for the draft. Brown is a little intriguing, doesn’t make up giving up 16 though.

I can't wait to see your reaction when Stevens acquires Beal without giving up JT/JB

How? All they have is a bi annual exception, no cap space and little assets.

this draft stinks after the top 6. Much more important for The Celtics to have financial flexibility this offseason and moving forward VS bringing in another kid. They already have enough young talent pushing for opportunity

It was the most obvious trade, and the one I disliked the least.

Who cares

He’s old, has creaky knees and our offensive creators are now Brown, Tatum and **** Smart.

This roster is putrid. It’s like nobody who works for Boston has any idea what is needed to win in today’s league.
