#16/#18/#35 - How high can OKC trade up?
Based on securing another 2021 1st round pick in Hoford/Walker deal, what team in the lottery would be interested in trading down for a package of those 3 picks?
Im assuming the Houston pick will be top 4 thereby allocating the Miami 2021 1st to OKC. The Thunder still have their own 1st, #36, #55 picks.

I'd do that. But I would prefer to try to use 16 and 18+ to move up twice. That's harder to pull off, but OKC does have a lot of sweetener.

I think CHA is the play. 11 + Cheap Salary Guy for 17 + 18. Or just 11 for 16 + 18.

There's pretty clearly a top 5 (Cunningham, Mobley, Suggs, Green, and Kumminga) in some order, and I think any team picking inside that range is unlikely to be willing to move down. My gut says it'd get you in the 10-14 range.

Charlotte should think twice: there are potential stars in the range of 6-11.

According to Kevin Pelton's 2017 chart http://nbasense.com/draft-pick-trade-value/2/kevin-pelton-2 that package o picks has the value of between the 3rd and 4th picks.

I doubt you're getting into top half of lottery with #16/#18/#35. I think between 8-12 objectively speaking is realistic.

I'm thinking between 6 and 10 in this draft.

Bouknight. Plenty of stars break out without being strong defensively. Devon Booker comes to mind.

If I were 6-10 I don't think I'd make that trade, but that is what I'm hoping OKC is able to do.

I'd probably give #10 for that Doritos sampler pack but I'd be asking for 7 if I'm OKC.

Looking at history, 9-11 is the likely projection.

I don't know if he lasts until 11. There's noise out there that he's climbing up boards. His 3p% was pretty abysmal last year though so maybe he does slip.MasterIchiro wrote:KEMBAtheMETEOR wrote:E S V L wrote:

Moody, Bouknight, Jalen Johnson, Keon Johnson
Some might argue that Mitchell and Kispert can be seen by Charlotte as way too valuable to trade down for 2 most likely role players.

In a typical draft, I have that at
42 + 38/2 + 17/3 = 66 2/3 as #8.
The #35 moves it from #9 to #8, but that small a margin is really going to depend on the two players there.

He's not taking set threes. He's shooting them off the dribble. He's able to create his own three point opportunities. So I think there's great potential. He shot 80% on FT across two years. Evaluators favor freshman and he's a sophomore, so hopefully he falls.

I'm thinking between 6 and 10 in this draft.
If someone moved from 6, I think it would take more than those two. Specifically because Mitchell seems like a good prospect with a solid floor. To move from him back to unknown picks/players is high risk. 8 Seems like the right number, but if TOR stays at 7 then I could see them, because of their management, dropping down willingly. Can't see Orlando doing that(8) nor Kings (9) but everyone else could have reasonable motivation if their 1A is gone.

A look at previous history.
Vlade traded the 10 for the 15 & 20
So, for the 16 & 18......maybe you get anywhere from 8-12?
