Celtics drafting Cooper would be a nightmare for me. I am completely over undersized PGs like him. Kofi Cockburn reminds me of Kendrick Perkins. He will probably go undrafted though.

Yeah, Cockburn is a better rebounding Perk, who was a very productive college player.

Like many others, I'd rather see the Celtics draft size rather than a small guard. But McBride looks like he could be a star. He could be a Iverson/Kyrie Irving type with better defense and less of a headcase so if they do go for a guard, him (or Jared Butler) could be nice options..

This is a dilemma. The Celtics don't really need a small guard, but there are several very good ones in this draft. Mitchell, McBride, Jared Butler, Cameron Thomas, and Jaden Springer. Some of them will certainly be available when the Celtics pick, and all of them have real potential to be solid contributors, if not stars. I wouldn't complain if we drafted any of them.

haha yeah, all this work researching prospects. and then we trade the pick, lol

45th pick I'm hoping once of these guys slips:

Trey Murphy
Miles McBride
Vrenz Bleijenbergh

This is a really deep draft. Someone really good will be there at 45..

Kind of disappointing that we won't have the 16th pick still, but I suppose overall the Kemba trade is a good one for us..

Love them.

OK I'm still in.. 45 pick here we come.. meanwhile still holding out hope we can BUY a pick from OKC or someone else in RD2 or even rd 1.

way too much talent. Would still love a high upside project.. maybe from over seas. Also love that Boston can now focus on NON Bigs since we have a good young one.

agreed. with horford, thompson, moses brown and time lord on the roster, i do not think we would take a big at pick 45. although thompson i assume is gonna get traded..

But yeah, those 3 guys I named would be all really good value at pick 45 and all have good upside / potential to help this celtics team.

Hell, at pick 45 you could even go for a guy like Nah'Shon Hyland. I definitely think 16 would be a reach for him but at 45, why not? The dude screams to me "the next jamal Crawford / Vinnie Johnson type" who can come in off the bench and bring high energy and hit a bunch of shots really quick.

Seems like Hyland is projected to go a little earlier than 45 but you never know..

Bye bye Kai Jones and Garuba...

Really like those three names, I'd add Filip Petrusev, who is very talented and can play against the best in Europe.

I hope Brad buys another second rounder and gets an Isaiah, Todd or Livers would be nice.

Another target for our second round pick: Kessler Edwards from Pepperdine.

The other two players mentioned in the above article, Aaron Henry, and Julian Champagnie are also interesting. Champagnie is very similar to Edwards. I also like Jayson Preston, 6'4" PG from Ohio. I'm sure we can find someone at pick #45 that will make our roster. Would love to see if we can get another second round pick, ideally one in the 30s.

Now I hope roko, isaiah todd or joel ayayi falls to 45
Otherwise I had ariel hukporti penciled in at 45 for my first mock and I liked his zion lite comparison.

Ohh, Isiah Todd would be a nice get. I don't think he'll still be on the board at 45 though but maybe..

I like Filip, could be good value at that 45 spot but IDK about drafting a center when we just traded for 2 centers and we kept all the centers who were on the roster before..

Oh man, if Roko is still there at 45 Brad better run that card up there with his name on it. That would be a steal. Adam Spinella has Roko no. 14 on his big board.

2 recent mocks I just checked, 1 has him going 30th and the other has him going 28th so doubt he will still be there, but we can dream..

I guarantee that there is a European or African guy who is available at #45 who turns out to be a pretty good NBA player. Roko isn't likely to slip that far, but Amar Sylla (6-9, Belgium), Ariel Hukporti (7-0, Lithuania) and Ibou Dianko Badjai (7-1, currently playing for FC Barcelona's B team) are interesting big guys. If that's less attractive because of Moses Brown, there are plenty of flat out shooters in Europe, starting with Rokas Jokubaitis (6-4).

Yeah I don't know how we get a shot at them but Roko or Isaiah Todd would be *perfect* fits for our roster right now.
Brad Stevens, get one of them and I will sing your praises from the internet rooftops.
Trade Tristan for a late first? Or Grant and a 2nd? Or continue to liquidate all of our future 2nd round picks?
