Al Horford at 35 years old is probably going to be a 20-25 mpg backup reserve in his 2nd go round in Boston. I think Big Al can excel in that role.

I'm liking the trade more and more as time passes. Really like that we will constantly have an inside presence in the game. No more Grant at center please.

If RW3 gets moved it will probably be part of a bigger move in my opinion. Bring it on!

Give it a few seasons and they’ll demand out as they realise this team is going nowhere.

I can't wait to see your reaction when Stevens acquires Beal without giving up JT/JB

Nope. Free agency next summer.

If Celtics are after Beal next summer in free agency then Smart and RW3 are goners. I don't see many avenues to this without that happening.

Yea true. By “acquire” I took that as a trade, not free agency.

Only way that’d be possible is if Beal somewhat forced the Wizards hand.

Free agency is obviously much more likely.

If they're setting aside cap space for Beal, then Big Rob is too expensive to keep.

This doesn't sound like Beal in the Summer 2022

Players league. If Beal wants to come to Boston it will happen.

Fournier would just be a contract to move, while helping us contend this year. They gave themselves this cap flexibility next summer for a reason, and the reason is Beal.

Today's trade has a lot to do with $$ and flexibility, but there's also an element of Brad bringing back a player I don't think he ever wanted to lose in the first place.

I highly doubt Brad put together this deal in his own in a couple weeks. The framework for a deal this impactful to the cap and the team takes time to put together. Danny out together the framework, Brad just pulled the trigger

Nah, this was Brad/Zarren. Brad and Presti have a great relationship, made it easy.

I think the trade will work out tho al will fit right back in even Moses Malone I mean brown is quietly pretty good basically whiteside with a brain and more effort. Not to mention he ate us for lunch in that game this year.

Now let’s package Tristan and grant for a backup point and possibly a 3D guy.

Kemba welcomed a trade. It just wasn't working out. Amicable divorce
