Given a choice would you trade Turner, Sabonis, or the pick? Perhaps the answer depends upon who's on the board at 13. Trading down for a player could also happen.

That’s why I don’t make the big bucks lol. I’m in the camp of trading up to get a future super star if there’s one in this draft.

It’s widely believed that the top 4 picks in this draft could readily compete for that kind of mantle. But, because of that, there’s also no chance that teams are really going to trade out of those draft positions this year.

Most of the teams with higher picks are not in win now mode. Golden state with the MN pick could be the exception. But I've yet to see a trade with them on the trade forum that is a clear winner. Most lottery teams are also looking for a potential super star so the best way to draft one could be to accept a low floor and hope. Another way is to spot a promising player buried behind a star.

Posts on the Draft forum from members who watch the European games suggest I may be undervaluing Garuba.

Yeah. He’s long and fast. A tremendous defender and rebounder. His offensive game is severely lacking, but maybe you draft him and hope he develops any sort of shot over his rookie contract like an OG Anunoby? He’ll be starting much further behind than OG was, though, but you could get a tenacious 4-5 position defender out of him, if you’re patient enough, and really willing to play and develop him.

They’re also REALLY high on Giddey over there, too.

If we keep Turbonis and Goga continues to develop and Brissett plays a solid shift, you can be patient with Garuba. one draft site rates him the #1 PF.

I really like Davion Mitchell in this draft and hope there is a way we can move up to draft him.

I'm with you 100% Package Turner and Brogdon to move up for this kid. Pair him with LeVert and draft Chris Duarte with number 13.

I am impressed by Turners play lately, but if he could be used to get a great player, I feel we can get rim protection elsewhere. The Gafford kid in Washington is a prime example, he was a second round pick.

PG Mitchell, MConnell
SG Levert, Sumner
SF Duarte, J.Holiday
PF Warren, Brissett
C Goga, JaVale McGee,

I can't stand watching people going over the top of Sabonis. I'd move him before Myles, I'm not married to either one. Mitchell, Duarte, and Warren add a ton of athleticism we have lacked, get some shot blockers in FA to back up or replace Goga. LeVert would be the only weak link defensively, and the amount of shooting ability is absurd.

My second favorite player in this draft is Greg Brown out of Texas. His quick double jump and nasty attitude are tremendous. I'm sure there is a place for a shot blocking, rebounding 4, but we have Warren and Brissett, and I'd hate to lose the scoring. How cool would it be to have an animal like this on our side? My third favorite player is Moses Moody. Imagine Isaac Okoro who can shoot. Davion Mitchell is still my favorite. His speed is like watching the Matrix. Unreal.

If you believe the mocks and like the draft, you could try to trade and 13 for two lower firsts and still get Brown. for example you could offer Houston the 13 for the 18 and 23 (or 24) or the Knicks for 19 and 21. personally I prefer a lot of players who could be there at 13 and gone at 18 over Brown but if the players the team likes are off the board at 13 this would work.

as a plus,, you might try and include Lamb in the deal to get tax room to sign two picks.

That is a lineup that might win 10 games.

He needs to develop. I am not too high on him either. He's raw, you can see it in his ball handling and how he sometimes move awkwardly. Pretty smart though. But just like Giddey, progress would depend on which team drafts him.

I don't know if it's just me but there are some clips wherein he moves and plays a lot like Millsap, at best.

Speaking of foreign players. I am having a change of heart with Alperen Sengun. I don't like him that much but I am now starting to see why he gets such hype.

Yeah. Sengun is a very talented guy, and someone is probably going to love having him. I just can’t be happy if Indy drafts him. We’re already too heavily invested in the position.

Here is another scouting report. looks like Barnes is great on defense and passing but has little to no offense on his own. I don't think I'd trade up to get him.

This is the most in depth scouting report on Scotty Barnes I"ve watched. To be honest he scares me. He looks like he could be Jarred Jeffries or worse yet Julian Wright. This video linked to one for Moses Moody. He looks like a better prospect to me.

First report of his I watched but it was thorough so I watched more. They are all well done.

Kai Jones is growing on me after one site compared him to Grant.

From what I have read of him, he seems to be quite athletic and agile, but a bit raw offensively. That rawness can be worked on though.

He's from the Bahamas so rawness is understandable.
