How much you wanna bet Kemba doesn't even play a single minute in OKC but is instead traded right away to .....
DAL for Porz? + picks
HOU for Wall? + picks
insert other bad contract here

I think most are already talking about that scenario.
The key for the timeline is Kemba’s health. He has issues and if teams aren’t satisfied they may want OKC to pay off more of that contract while he recovers before giving up anything.

Well... good thing OKC has a gazillion picks for sweeteners then.

Your first post suggested OKC using him to get draft assets back … which is their clear strategy but unlikely given Kemba’s status.
Now you’re suggesting they will use their draft assets to get rid of him.
Which is it?
His knee is bad. He is going to need to show teams that knee is good to go before anyone makes a real trade for him given the $$ left on his deal. It’s that simple. So he either plays well early in OKC and gets moved at the deadline or he doesn’t and he gets moved as an expiring contract next year.

Let me be clear..
OKC would likely deal Kemba to DAL for Porzingis and likely a pick ( because OKC seems to like a lot of picks ). However, you did say that other parties might want OKC to pony up more for Kemba due to his many concerns so I replied and "implied" that if OKC really wants to trade Kemba with his "baggage" then good thing they have a lot of assets to use as sweeteners.
I only gave this scenario is because IF they do get rid of Kemba, it is because they finally have a plan/direction where they will go. I mean you just can't continue to stockpile GL talent and picks forever. Even the league would probably step in with that situation. So then, if OKC really wants say Kirstpas to pair with Shai... then they have the assets to do so IF they feel Kristaps is worth more than Kemba.
However, these are all hypothetical scenarios..

OKC would have to add a pick to Kemba (unless i read that wrong) Dallas would not be adding a pick to Porzingis for Kemba (which is how i read it)

Well in an ideal world, you add a pick to the "lesser value" player. However, who that is between the two is kinda subjective.
But if history is to be a judge, okc would aleays want a pick. lol

Trade him for a player that a team wants to move on from, maybe with a year more on his contract than Harris.
We’re not going to be players for free agency until 2023 at the earliest, so this is the time to make those types of moves. The question then becomes what teams/players could we trade with for that kind of scenario?
Stockpiling picks/young talent will be advantageous when trading for stars also too, since not all stars contracts will match up to being free agents when we have space.

Who would want Harris tho? Harris is damaged goods. Just like Kemba. It took a 1st rounder packaged with him to move him.

yeah, but they both have injury issues, but one is 25 the other is 31.

A Walker for Wall trade: talk about "moving deck chairs".

I’d argue that Harris is just as valuable of an asset if not more than Horford. They ended up getting a 1st out of him. It’s more so us taking on a bad contract and matching it with Harris’ than highlighting how good of an asset Harris is.
However if Harris puts it together this upcoming season to start that’ll make it alot easier.
We gotta take the 76ers/Thunder route of seeing what we can get out of our players and their potential, and moving them at their peak value if it doesn’t align like with MCW & Moses Brown.
