Guys that shoot and nothing else are pretty much the running backs of the NBA. I’d never give one a major second deal. Why pay a premium when they can be found anywhere? Late round picks, undrafted free agents, veterans.

We saw it with Bertans and Joe Harris, you cant trust these one dimensional shooters night in and night out come playoff time. That alvin the chipmunk dude on the bucks lit us up and he’s making 2 mil this year. Connaughton had a few nice games for them and he’s making under 5 mil. You can find any shmuck nowadays to be a “shooter”, hell for 12 mil you can probably have 3 on the roster and rotate based on who is hot and cold. It would be foolish to pay Duncan.

Yeah i think it’s best to let him walk. Work out a S&T with team of his choosing and be done with it. Herro needs to be given his opportunity to sink or swim. He has way more game then Duncan. Nunn is the one we should match. Wether we get Lowry or not. If we do get Lowry we have to remember he is 35/36 and will need a solid backup PG for b2b maintinence and keeping regular season minutes in check for the playoffs. I’m not sure they are many teams hungry to make Nunn there starting PG. The Knicks would be better served resigning Derrick Rose.

As long as there's a decent wing replacement I'm down, Jimmy/Bam need all the shooting they can get

You start out the year with Herro and resign Dipo. Continue to develop Strus. Sign a solid 2/3 backup who can shoot. Reggie Bullock or James Ennis type?

I love Duncan, he's a great story and improving.

But if he's coasting more then 15 Per, I'd roll out Strus and let him loose.

Ideally I'd trade Duncan for a good PF/C or a dynamic guard and give Strus a bigger role. He might not be as good, but if he gives you 80% of the production at 10% of the cost - it's the value move.

If u don't want 2b here, the way things work, u don't like it, then don't b here. U have 2 stand on something. If Miami ain't standing on something, they become alot of these organizations trying 2 find their identity. This is the culture, bro -Wade

I'm confused, kobewade doesn't want specialist ie one deminsional players. But to solve that desire is to replace him with another one deminsional player who not as good in that one deminsion like Strus. Lol

This contract issue some have here do not clearly understand. Nunn and Duncan contract situation is a plus because of their bird right it gives the Heat flexibility and does not give them less flexibility. Its better to be over the cap than a little under.

There are good shooters, and then there are Duncan Robinsons.

Duncan was the fastest to 500 threes in NBA History. His off ball impact is significant. And playing with an actual point guard will help even better. And it’s not like he was a total dud in the playoffs like Joe Harris, as he had the best performance out of everyone on the team in game 1. He’s a little more resilient.

So unless we can find a good sign and trade partner to where we get a nice asset back, doubt Riley is letting him walk for nothing. And his cap hold situation is too favorable to let him walk anyway.

There are not many elite shooters who can do other things well. And most of those players are called stars. The other options are getting former stars who are ring chasing but you guys complain about old people as well.

I was hoping some learned a lesson when you wanted to replace Olynyk with fat Bjelica

There is one player that Riley been trying to acquire for years and keep getting snubbed and thats Terrence Ross to fit the mode that
Kobewade wants.

Clearly you understood wrong. There are more “shooters” now than at any point the in the history. You can have 2 or 3 on your roster for the same price as Duncan. I dont care if they shoot 37% instead of 40. Im not going down because my 20 million a year “specialist” didnt show up. Seth Curry has been lighting up the Hawks and he’s making 8 million a year. You can find these guys.

Let Duncan walk and give more minutes to “ The Strus”. Kobewade is right in that you can’t trust this specialist day in day out. You guys need to stop falling in love with sardines and start looking for WHALES

You spend on big money on creators, on versatile 2 way stars, then and only then you try to add best role player shooter avaiable.

Shoulda' traded the farm for a star last summer, but another learning experience

Letting an asset like Duncan walk for nothing is asset failure on top of everything else

I'm legit confused where people thinking Robinson is gonna get star money. People are throwing stones at Robinson as if he is cock blocking a star from coming.

I don't understand any of this. Duncan was fastest to 500 threes. He's also nearly bereft of any other positive trait. He's almost helpless with the ball in his hands. He has one skill, and he's completely reliant on others to get shots because he can't create for himself. And as far as his off ball impact ... where is the evidence?

The man is Jason Kapono. He just is. We need to quit falling in love with these guys we pick up on the side of the road. It's great when we can polish them up and make some use of out them while they cost next to nothing, but the minute they cost real money they are just junk you can find for free on the side of the road.
