Tim Hardaway Jr. just seems like a good fit here. There would still be a need for a C, but something still makes me think Riley will try to get Mike Conley. He was reportedly after him a few times in the past.
DInwiddie would be great in our offense.
Lots of options.

This is the best he’s shot in his life. I’d tread with caution.

Seems like that is improvement. Seems like he is playing slowed down than before. More tempered

The fact that he often has been unplayable at the end of games, or his terrible defense which he overcompensates for by committing a bunch of unnecessary fouls that often puts him into foul trouble doesn’t make you flinch a little when it comes to those high contractual numbers?
Role players have deficiencies. That is why they are role players. Their value is in their role, not in what they can not do. And as of recent, Duncan has closed games. Herro has been the one who was benched. Duncan defense is no worse than Gallinari. The key to the Heat defense is the point guard spot. That has to be the primary position to fix defensively.

Would anyone be opposed to a Dragic and Okpala package for Dinwiddie giving him a deal in the low 20’s? Brooklyn gets a vet PG for Kyrie insurance without long term commitment to Dinwiddie. Dragic and Nash reunion?
I'm a Dinwiddie proponent for this team.
He can carry an offense for stretches. I also think that he'll improve his 3 point% which age.
I wonder if either Nunn or Oladipo in a double S&T would pique Brkn's interest.
Regarding a Dragic swap, I'd prefer not to move Goran in this deal.
I'd rather package him and Iggie and take a bigger swing.
Nunn and Oladipo would be a no go. Most likely we would match Nunn and go with a PG duo of Dinwiddie and Nunn. Nunn could play with Dinwiddie in the backcourt and play off ball. This would be especially key if we let Duncan walk and are rolling with Herro (Oladipo) until he returns and Strus at the two. Brooklyn needs firm contracts and no S&T's coming back in. They are going to be operating over the Apron so S&T's coming back to them don't work. Getting somebody like Dragic to have behind Kyrie would be big for them. Especially since it's for only a year.

I like Dinwiddie, but he is not a great fit. One thing I agree with all of you is that the Heat cant afford third non-shooter. Its no different than adding DeRozan

Dinwiddie is not the perfect fit by any means but one we may have to give a shot. He's still only 28 and looked to be really coming into his own. Spo is supposed to be the master at getting player efficiency. We all know Dinwiddie can score and create so let Spo do his thing and make him into a compete player. Having a 6'5 PG is a luxury we should explore.

I wouldnt be mad, just like I wouldnt be mad at getting DeRozan. Spo would have to come up with something really tricky, in which he has done with the handoffs. The Heat would have to find another high volume 3 point shooter along with Duncan to make it work. It cant be Ariza or some average shooter. It has to be someone who will kill you if you make a mistake in rotation or closing.
Got to be careful because we are becoming the Rondo, Butler and Wade trio. It was too much of the same.

He was a vital part of the team success for the past two years. It will make him EASIER to trade in a package deal. If you can find a Seth Curry for 8 mill or find another Duncan Robinson on a two-way, then do it. He is not blocking any blessing from the Heat, he is not making Herro getting ripped at mid court or cock blocking Herro from knocking up IG models.
It all depends on if another team wants him tho. You always have to overpay for restricted free agents. Stealing Duncan for 4yr/80mill wouldn’t be an unreasonable offer sheet for another team to give
I hope some team goes even higher than that.

Duncan better than Whiteside was? Duncan averages the 6th most points on the team despite starting and averaging the 3rd most minutes.

Gallo is a better player.

That's an improvement over Nunn 6'2 and Dragic 6'3 having to guard the likes of Valanciunas and Zubac, I guess.
