I'd rather whiff on attempting to find the next Jordan Clarkson than hit on uncovering the next Duncan Robinson. Shooting specialists don't do anything for me.

He isn’t though, Trey Murphy is good. Good luck finding decent value in the 2nd rnd.

He's good at shooting. Literally doesn't do anything else. Just don't see the value in that.

It's not hard to find guys that can play in the 2nd round. It only appears that way because NBA teams are not interesting in giving opportunities to those picks. They'd rather keep attempting to develop their prior draft whiffs and they already have filled out rosters of bad money and vets.

He’s not a good shooter he’s a great shooter lol.

He’s plays wing defense and very well to I may add, you can disagree but Murphy is going to outdo his draft position very easily.

Wing size, defense, elite spot up shooter. it’s all there.

I’m higher on transferable prospects then raw ones that need a lot of polish. His role is defined and he plays it very well. Smart cutter, defensively rotationally aware doesn’t get lost albeit gets sometime gets there a little late (foot speed, lapses) but his position is sound, contests well with good length.

He won’t get lost in a switch happy, screening league.

The gravy part is the 1, 1/2 pull up if that transfers which I’m betting it will because he’s that good of a shooter he’s going to be good.

Strength will come as par for the course. For me he has a very good base to work from and develop.

Every prospect needs a base to transfer from they just can’t be raw everywhere, that’s why a heap bust they don’t have NBA transferable skills. Murphy definitely does.

Like Korkmaz is still here. Murphy will probably be better then Korkmaz ever will be.

No rebounding, no scoring off the dribble, no passing, not enough steal generation. Shooting specialist that do nothing else are a waste of time, IMO.

hey Kobble

I noticed in another thread you did not mention Cade or Suggs as targets

I barely watched college this year...are they not as good as people claim?

Starting from now I think I'm going to radically change my evaluations parameters about prospects.
The only two that matter are: love for the Game and willingness to improve.
Nothing else matters.

The problem is that you have to be a professional scout to have access to these infos LOL

I think Suggs is a tad overrated. I think he's a really solid prospect, but I think his stock is inflated a lot by how good he is defensively. As an offensive player, I think he leaves a little to be desired. Not strong enough handle to consistently get to the rim off the dribble. Not an overly willing three point shooter. So he's kind of stuck as a throwback mid-range player. He legit reminds me of a 6'3" 210 pound version of Jimmy Butler.

Cunningham is perfectly fine. I could easily see him being as good as Jayson Tatum. Similarly to Tatum, he can be a little jumpshot happy and stop short of attacking the hoop and settle for a pullup.

I encourage you to start with Tre Mann. Arguably the most complete scorer in this draft. Elite level scorer off the dribble with a ready-made jumper.

Shocking news: he's being mocked in the early 20s and could be in striking distance of a trade up

Marcus Garrett is a sneaky underrated piece. Listed at 6'5" 195 pounds and is a certified stud defender. But his offensive ability is what is madly underrated. Look at how natural and dynamic his handle is.

And Tankathon currently has him going to us at 28, which means it probably won't happen. Good size and percentages, you could certainly do much worse picking in the late 20s. That's it, I'm on the Mann Van.

definitely has a defensive reputation and shows instincts and quick hands

form watching the video and checking his stats, offensively there's nothing there - struggles on the ball, handle is not great, below the rim finisher, little elevation on his jumper, doesn't get to the line, mediocre/bad FT shooter

UDFA, wouldn't go so far as a 2-way for this dude

Honestly, I would pass on Mobley. Not a fan of skinny bigs with no defense. Only underclassmen bigs I like this year are Jackson and Sharpe.

I know, that's why I asked. But where does he rank on your board?
