I'm familiar with losing players, and this is how a loser talks. I wouldn't even want him if all it took was Kevin Knox, that contract he has is just gross.

That's the entire Sixers offense along with some curl screens for Curry. I coach u/16's and my playbook is more in depth, it's embarrassing. It's amazing that Simmons can get 13 assists with an offense that plays that way.
At the end of the day, the Embiid/Simmons pairing just doesn't work. Simmons is sacrificing his game for Embiid (as he should) but at the same time, will take all the heat for it.
Simmons needs to play in a fast pace styled offense like the Wizards have. Imagine having Westbrook play in a slow half court offense? It just wouldn't work. Simmons with a 5 out style offense that just runs all game will see him getting closer to that 20ppg mark.
Embiid needs to play with a PG who can control the game in the half court and can run the pick and roll play after play.
Doc said his players did not trust moving the ball... don't know what it is, seems that they did not execute his plans...
Hi Clutchie, I love you...

This team needs a breakup, it isn't working.
Personally didn't like Simmons passing up that shot, but you can't call him out in public like that.
Lots of people see that this paring isn't working, I know the FO wants to keep trying but it's obvious. Embiid is being asked to do too much, Simmons is a non factor offensively so they are playing 4 v 5 a lot. It just doesn't work.

You don't always get to pick the tempo of the game you play though; especially in the playoffs which inevitably turn into half-court struggles.
Maybe you are right about Westbrook too. He still has zero championships right?

When it's the truth, it's not throwing him under the bus.

Simmons should respond: I´ll be honest. I think the game clinching play was the live ball turnover that gifted the Hawks two points.

When is slows down like that and the defense is sagging off Simmons, he needs to do dribble hand offs for Curry/Korkmaz/Harris. It will be an easy open shot off the dribble hand off or you can get Simmons going down hill with an open lane.
I really wanted the Bucks to do this play with Giannis all series and they did it twice with Forbes in game 6 and he got 2 open shots which went in. They didn't run that play again all series.
As someone who coaches, that's just a simple play you can do to get the defense to have to either play Simmons tight or give up an open shot to shooters. As bad as Brett Brown was, he had that play in his arsenal from time to time.

Doesn't sound like you've ever played a competitive sport. It's an energy, momentum and soul draining event when a guy had 2 easy points in a close game, but passes it. It just tells the team a star on the team is checked out and they can't rely on him when they need him.

Honestly, and I’m going to go off rails here, but if thybule was already moving a little bit more towards the basket when Ben was coming in, I could somewhat understand Ben trying to draw Trae in so Thybule could get a dunk. When thybule got the ball, he went up slow, which allowed a Collins a split second to come over and foul

Re: Embiid throws Ben Simmons under the bus
We won last game because he had no choice and chucked Maxey in lol
Shake played 0 minutes in the first half and he won us/saved a game.
Dude had a bench unit a bench that ran up -13 then Green came back on to guard Young like nothing happened first game.
Doc is as worse as Ben and Harris in all of this.
Didn’t he need a top ranked team 7 games to beat a .500 Hawks team all those years ago? F me.

Wow. The irony of Josh Smith trying to bag on anyone regarding making an adjustment is unreal. How many YEARS did it take Josh to figure out that he was terrible at outside shooting and he should stop taking long 2 pointers and 3's. Oh that's right: Never.
I don't have a horse in Doc Rivers an in game adjustments BTW. It's just funny that someone posted an opinion of Smoove here.

Embiid had 8 TOs but most of that is the fact that he can’t receive the ball closer to the rim & has to make a move from 22 feet out.
Ben is occupying a ton of space down in the paint & isn’t really doing anything with it.

Don’t forget that late turnover that made it a 6 point game. Joel seems to have forgotten it. I’m guessing because he turns it over so often he probably just lost track.
Isn't he forced to do more ball handling because of Hack a Simmons?

Re: Embiid throws Ben Simmons under the bus
A swap around McCollum and Simmons makes sense.
To the Warriors in a 3way deal sending Wiseman somewhere and he can play the 5 for GS
Could see Minnesota convincing themselves that a lineup like below could work (sending Culver, Rubio and cap fillers and future picks)
DLo
Edwards
Free agent 3 and D Vet
Simmons
KAT

Do you see how many times Embiid goes to the post but only to be doubled by Ben's man? He isn't even able to get the ball downlow most of the time because of this and then he's forced to start his possessions from the 3 point line.
Embiid has to get better against double teams. No team can provide 4 shooters on the court all the time with their stars. The closest to it was the Warriors and even they could not do it.
It's not even about having 4 shooters. At least draymond shot the damn ball during their championship years. Simmons refuses to shoot so players don't even look his way when he's on the perimeter. He just clogs the paint acting like a scrub offensive player when he doesn't have the ball.
Watch defenses against the Mavs, Nuggets, Lakers, Clippers, or Bucks. Teams with superstar forwards and Center have their forwards and Centers get doubled all the time. Teams would rather have guys like Facundo Campazzo, Brook Lopez, Josh Richardson, and so many others get wide open 3 point shots than to let guys like Kawhi, Lebron, Jokic, or Doncic play 1 on 1. Embiid turns over the ball way too much when he gets doubled, and it is going to be a problem regardless of who else is on the court with him. At least Simmons knows how to get him the ball in his spots, a lot of those stars don't even have guys that can do that. Until Embiid gets better at beating the doubles they are going to struggle in the playoffs.
