It has become one of the more head-scratching decisions we've made. If he was a great player off the bat, I guess its ok that his fit in our system is wonky. If he fit our system, it would be OK that he was extremely raw. But he's extremely raw and a wonky fit.. dont love that.
Top of the draft is where you cant miss and is a whole different evaluation ballgame than late 1st/bought 2nds.. everything you do has to have purpose and clear reason, and the JW selection just didnt have that. There was a lot of guesswork there. It was a risk we shouldnt have taken. Which is why I'm scared we will take a guy like Barnes
