I think Philly is done with him and just to dump him. We can ROB Philly, if the asking price is right. Don't forget we still have the 17M TPE plus we have expiring contract in Gary Harris.

Ben's Problem is more of a Psychological issue rathr than ability. Remember Fultz? When we got him, he could do nothing in the NBA.

Ben has talent and upside. If we can get him with a cheap price, why not?

Well, his only issue would be his ridiculous contract

how many PG's are we going to get from Philly?
Fultz, MCW, and now Ben? I wouldnt want him on that max deal.

His stock must have fall so hard when fans turn down a 24yrs old All star locked on a long contract for few role players

he just need few months of good plays to boost his stock right up

Three backup players and an expiring for a Three-time All-star. This is not a difficult trade to make from Orlando's side.

Bulls would be a good fit for Simmons. Lauri + Coby probably gets it done, and Simmons would help them get back into the playoffs and high end competition immediately. If they jump in the lottery they’ll have a huge cache of assets to shop around.

Awful Contract
Awful Fit
Awful player

No to Simmons in Orlando.

Awful player might be too harsh, but hes a max guy so he should be a top 2 player on your team. But I dont see how you can win anything with him being one of your top players. Maybe if his contract was a lot cheaper, id think about it but no.

Ben Simmons is one of the most over hyped players I have seen in a long time and have been saying it since he was at LSU. He is what he is at this point. He is a slightly better version of AG in a big city on a winning team(due to embiid) which is why he is an all-star. We all know with those same numbers he would not be an All-star here in Orlando.

We would be fun defensively, but DAMN. The other team would just have to clog the paint and that would stop us every time we have the ball.

still a great talent in many ways! but can't see us paying a high price for a basketball player that has the ball in his hand 75% of the time... has all the talent in the world ... and is scared to shoot the ball. He will have to go straight Giannis and live in the paint... and rack up fouls on the other team... even though he might miss the free throw... while developing a jumper. not sure if all that will happen. lol

Slightly better is a
a understatement. His strengths compared to AG is well beyond. His passing, handling, court vision, ability to break down defenses and slash, defense etc are elite. AG wishes he can do it on his level.

And AG is light years ahead of him offensively (which is sad) which evens out Simmons strengths. I'll give you Simmons being a better passer, better handles and court vision, but lets not act like AG's defense was average.

No AG’s offense isn’t light years ahead. He might shoot a better percentage but everything else that has to do with offense Simmons does better and effortlessly. AG is still trying to be on that level.

I would take Simmons defense over AG’s.

It is light years ahead. Simmons doesnt even shoot that ball! lol

Either way no thanks to Simmons and his 172 million dollar contract.

His stock must have fall so hard when fans turn down a 24yrs old All star locked on a long, MASSIVE contract for few role players

he just need few months of good plays to boost his stock right up

fixed that for you. Simmons is afraid of offense. in 34 playoff games, he has taken 5 shots outside of the paint. 5. he is a bad FT shooter, so you cant have the ball in his hands late in games. And that contract is massive, he makes almost $38mil and $40mil+ his last 2 years. He is what you typically want as your defensive specialist, glue guy, but not what you need from a max player that somewhat limits what the team can do from a roster perspective. Defense doesnt win titles anymore, you have to have some offense. he has not improved in 4 years.

Read my post again. There’s more to offense than just shooting.

The contract is a why I’d say no.
