I don't think I'd use the Pistons latest history of picks as a barometer of the general quality of a #8 pick. That being said, almost no pick is literally guaranteed to be a starter, much less good or an All-Star.

We aren’t trading Cade. You have a franchise level player at an affordable deal for 4/5 years. No package of picks is worth it. The NBA is not the NFL. Talent drops off sharply as you move down the draft.
