I don't keep a ranking of the prospects. I just keep a running list of guys I would draft and leave guys I wouldn't draft off the list.

I'm sure Mobley will go top 5, though. He's young, long, athletic and can produce a lot of points when he's fed a bunch of assists. There's box office and merch potential with him. Just like there was with Ayton, Bagley, and Wiseman.

Kobble cmon now Mobley is going to be very very good not on my list of one who I would draft because we have Embiid. But Mobley has Bosh 2.0 written all over him. Easy top 4 pick this year.

... Ayton is doing well

Bigs that can't make plays defensively are my equivalent to guards that can't score off the dribble. I just don't have any interest in those respective archetypes.

Mobley at his ceiling is a 18/10/2/1/3 guy that will be a DPOY candidate. You wait in four years

Cade, Suggs, Mobley, Green will be close to each other no doubt in my mind.

Cade and Suggs will get the jump early but even by the end of the rookie race it’ll be very very clear who should have gone 1#.

Jalen Green is a better shooting Morant type athlete just as an SG. He’s the best chance to be the next one up imo.

No way Mobley is a ever going to be a dpoty candidate. Look at how weak his steal rate is. He's just an offensive only skinny big that can't rebound or defend.

I'm sure he will be a 18+ ppg player. But they'll all be typical bigman assisted buckets. And he'll be a block-only guy defensively. Not good enough instincts to truly make an impact like Davis and Embiid. Or Nerlens.

And his predecessor Onyeka Okongwu is what you think Mobley is. Truly elite defensive big with major offensive upside.

Okongwu >>>>>>>> Mobley

Superior skinny big, IMO.

Far better defensively. Better rebounder. 70% free throw shooter.

I rate 0.0 was one of my favorites but Mobley is far superior on the offensive department.

Doesn’t matter the only one we should have our eyes squarely on is Green and no one else. It’s Luka/MJ at 3 all over again imo

I don't really see there being a big enough gap between their offense to makeup for the canyon-sized gap between them defensively.

Mobley is a better driver and passer. Okongwu scored with the same volume and was a superiorly skilled free throw shooter.

I'd take Okongwu all day over Mobley.

lol I'm not asking you to put your reputation on the line. I'm just curious, given that I know you're not into drafting centers high, where you think it would be appropriate to take Mobley, someone people insist is different. It's not an abstract thought experiment - this is how the draft works every year!

Are you saying that you wouldn't take him with the 10th pick given the players in this draft? The 30th? Would you pass at pick 60?

I mean, it probably sounds dumb to say I wouldn't take him with any of my picks, but I'm more interesting in finding guys that meet my criteria than drafting for value.

I could play the annoying game of taking a guy I don't want with the hope of trading him for a rookie contract creator that I do like. I'd much rather just get my guy at #10 and now have to depend on a trade partner.

Wait, Sharife Cooper measured out at 6'3 w/o shoes, 6'4.5 with shoes? Somethings not right there unless he shot up since the season ended.

Old wives tale, foreigners docking their age, small players lie on their height, taller players lie on how tall they are.

I’ll bet money he ain’t a true old measured 6”1” even that is bs nonsense.

He makes Trae look tall lmao.

If that is correct, he's easily a top 10 pick. Best scorer off the dribble and passer in the draft and not a munchkin?

It doesn't seem possible, though. He looks 6'1" tops.

Unless Justin is in slides and Julian is wearing thick-soled basketball shoes, the listed discrepency in their height appears to be accurate. Look at the shoulder height for more clarity. Also, there is a noticeable difference in the weight they carry. Julian is every bit of that 220 pounds. Justin is much more leaner with less mass. He's listed at 200, I wouldn't be surprised if he was 205 at the heaviest.

Justin: 6'5.75" without 6'6.75" with and 206.4 pounds
Julian: 6'6.75" without 6'7.5" with and 217.4 pounds

As I said, Julian is clearly the bigger of the two. As it turns out, the listed discrepancy was accurate. Proved by the combine measurements.

I'm happy with David Johnson being a tad under 6'5" in shoes. Strong measurement for him.

Really pleased with Austin Reeves being almost 6'6" in shoes. Priority second rounder, IMO. One of the best chefs in the draft. Old age or not.

Uhh, that’s not how the combine works. My guess is that they measured him and someone with the NBA screwed up the recording and they will fix it in the next day or so.
