What? With what Harden has gotten for, that trade package is good for an established tier-1 star already.

Just because Houston blew the Harden trade doesn't mean that our assets are suddenly better. That package will not get us a tier 1 star or #1 pick.

I actually beg to differ. For me, before Simmons stunk it up PHI would trade Ben for that. Heat would.probably do Jimmy. MIN would do KAT.

I am pulling out my tin foil hat for this one:

Do you think that we keep getting screwed so the league can move us to Seattle?

Nah, the NBA is desperate to expand. If anything the NBA doesn’t want us having stars because we are one of the few small markets that can be profitable without one. Our role in the larger money making scheme of the league is to make money off tourists wanting to watch other teams stars feast on the Magic. Why let Orlando have stars when teams like Detroit, Cleveland and Houston need them more to be profitable?

Nah our new arena bought us at least 2 decades ha. I think there are a few teams in more dire spots then us specially without new arenas. All for a Seattle team they were always my West squad. But they are going expand by 2 soon...they wanna get back in the Seattle market and are probably desperate to get in the Vegas one. They like a team in Orlando with Disney/ABC as a big partner, beisdes they have the Orlando market cornered with MLB, NFL and NHL in Tampa.
The hero Orlando deserves is out there somewhere, Dwight was not the one we needed. So we will hunt for him...

I'm not sure if I would follow us to Seattle because I'm in Tennessee now, lived in Orlando my whole life, and I would have to fly to go to a game and I haven't flown since Covid and prolly won't for a few years, until I'm comfortable with it again. I don't even have an airline here that goes to Seattle. I have to drive 4 hours to catch a plane there.
Not changing this Sig until the Orlando Magic win a championship (Technically Started 1-30-08)

What can we get for Ross? He will help any playoff team and one of the best 6th man in the league. On a team friendly contract as well.

From a championship-contending team that needs scoring help from the bench like the Bucks? Probably just a future protected 1st

From a PO teams dreaming of being a contender that needs scoring/3pt shots like DAL? An asset and a pick

I may be in the minority, but I prefer not to move him unless we get something enticing. We need some players that can reliably shoot the ball from outside.

Why tho? We’re not even trying to win.

By the time we trend up, he’ll be off his prime
Probably. Better get value now

Ok so I didn't watch the Magic after Fultz got injured this season - any of the random dudes we brought in at the end of the season worth anything to us? Wagner? Brazdeikis? We keeping OPjr?

Mo Wagner looks like a good backup big. Especially with the concerns about the health of our present bigs.

It’s not about winning, it’s about giving young guys a chance to succeed. People think we can just vomit up a roster of “long bois” who can’t shoot and space the floor and expect these players to all develop into successful players.

I think we can find this cheaper. T-Ross is great but he is not a leader, Harris seemed to be more vocal despite just being traded to us. Ross is also not the best exemple for young guys, he is low iq defender and ball stopper on offense. When he tried to pass more it was turnover after turnover. We should capitalize on his value, free agency class is shallow someone will overpay for him.
My money is on Banchero going number 1 !

It seems like we have an entire roster of guys that would be very complementary players to some deadeye shooters...maybe we should really be focusing on what has clearly dominated the league in recent years...you want to make Fultz, RJ Hampton, Isaac, Cole, MCW look REALLY good? give them space and people to kick it to who will finish...I get that with 5, we've got to really consider Kuminga's massive upside but (assuming we don't trade up for Green), 8 and 33 should be gunners. I still think Kispert's plummet is exaggerated. He may not be a "value pick" at 8, but maybe there's some kind of deal to be made to snatch a guy like him.

A guy like Barnes looks like a really good player but how will he look on a team without shooters? How would superstar Draymond look on this roster? Not good.

Excuse my possible ignorance but who are you referring to when you say superstar Draymond? Please don't say you're talking about gsw's Draymond Green...
