This is my guy, provided Barnes doesn't fall. Would love to have him come off the bench and light it up his first year then take over for Rozier the following if we can't resign Terry.

7' wingspan - he can move well and defend
Very smooth stroke and backed it up by hitting shots - will be a nice 3 + D player from the get go
Can play in any configuration we have

Just reminds me a lot of Jimmy Butler, depends on how much he can add to his playmaking and athleticism

I like him and his 2 way ability, but I can't see how his lack of athleticism and/or explosion wont be a big problem for him in the NBA.

I don't see any Butler in him at all. Butler is a dog.

I could maybe see some poor man's Paul George?

Butler wasn't considered a great athlete coming out of the draft IIRC, but did pass better than Moody

Also was considered a "what you see is what you get, low ceiling" player

I see a lot of Rip Hamilton in him. Think he will be a solid 18 ppg type guy. Not exactly a allstar, but good third option/strong piece on a contender.

Good feeling about him at this stage. Seems to fit a team need really well. Could see someone like him on the court with Ball/Bridges/Hayward.
My picks:
2020 Draft (3rd pick) - Tyrese Haliburton, Devin Vassell, or Onyeka Okongwu
2021 Draft (11th pick) - Moses Moody

Moody seems like the pick to me. We could use a 3&D guy and he's got a functional skillset.

This.

A future backcourt of LaMelo and Moody would be solid. I definitely haven't watched much of Moody outside of some YT highlights, but I get Allan Houston vibes, but maybe less lethal of a J than Houston had.

There’s so much to like about this kid - especially considering our needs. He does seem to be a great fit as a future starting SG.

How would Moody do in an up tempo offence with LaMelo pushing the balm up the court at pace?

Does he have the wheels to get up and down quickly and take advantage of the quick pace?

I think the Pelicans will grab Moody. We might need to trade up with the Kings to get him.

Not really trying to trade up for anybody outside of maybe the top three guys in this class. Moody seems solid to me at first glance with solid measurables and decent percentages.

Only knocks I have with him so far...
He was pretty awful in the NCAA tourney including a 4/20 shooting game against Oral Roberts.

He either did not athletic test at the combine or he hasn't gone yet. His athleticism does not pop on the film at all.

Really?!?!

He’s pretty much the exact opposite of Hamilton.

Hamilton was:
A dynamo off the ball with continually being in motion.
He wasn’t a very good 3pt shooter.
He was a terrible defender.
He was really skinny (more wirey I guess).

Moody projects to be:
A catch and shoot jumper.
A very food 3pt shooter.
A great defender.
Well built with a huge wing span.

Not so sure he makes to to 11 but he seems like a good choice, I see a little Jimmy Jackson in his game

Kid can play right away. Trouble is the Magic, Kings, and Pelicans all need exactly this kind of player so not holding my breath here.

Dude steps in immediately as a 3 and D wing and takes over a Martin. Also plays hard and has upside. I'm down.

Seeing some highlight packages of him diving all over the ground fighting for loose balls got me excited. I love to see that sort of effort and will - and he did it time and time again so it wasn’t just a 1 off kind of thing.

Reminded me of Marvin the way he went after it.
