Pelinka should be relieved of duties if he's serious about going after Melo.

what are the odds of going for lowry?

i imagine he will want a bit contract that at his age any team not in win now mode wont. want

i guess miami may go for him, maybe sixers or clippers

could lakers outbid them? assuming he doesnt want yo resign with the raptors and does a sign and trade

been so impressed by the Clippers and Suns. If you're Pelinka you have to look at Ayton and wonder why you still don't have anyone setting up AD this well. Suns guard/big chemistry is off the charts. Absolute winning formula. Aim to get Lebron a decent 5 out lineup and AD a smart multi-threat guard to run with and every minute will be a +10.0

Any ideas on who that guard could be?

Give me an Nba executive's salary and I'm sure i'd have a couple suggestions :D . On a serious note it's not that scarce a skillset, Cam Payne isn't an all star or anything but he's making the right decisions. Try for Lowry but also there are cheaper guys who can look good beside AD, it's actually Ayton's gravity doing a lot of the work on some of these sets.

Who are those cheaper options

Lowry would be great, but would hard cap us

Why ask me though? I don't know who is available, I'm just some guy on a forum. It's GMs have the resources to know. Viewers like us just discuss what aspects need to be built. I'm sure you wouldn't mind upgrading schroder for a smarter player too.

Will probably be trying to upgrade the secondary playmaking, we just have to wait and see who they'll bring in.

Abortion can't be made illegal in any state, but yes, it's one of those states where they make it almost impossible to get one

So social media wants me to believe that 2018 LeBron would not completely run through this "new and improved" version of the East when Trae Young is doing just that in his third year? Hilarious.

Very cool that the "weak East" suddenly began the season after Jordan's retirement and was magically no longer a thing after LeBron went West. Definitely no agendas there, nope.

Man, if Davis doesn't go down, Lakers probably coast to a title even with the garbage shooting and broken LeBron.

Why are you so concerned about what social media thinks in the 1st place?

They do?

Don't think they were going anywhere with the version of Lebron we saw in the playoffs.

The competition this year after the Suns would've been awful. If Davis doesn't go down, the Lakers go up 3-1 and they're not blowing that series. You really think Denver without Murray who got swept by the Suns, LAC without Kawhi, or potentially Atlanta would beat this Lakers team?

I'm more-so not convinced the Lakers beat the Suns even with AD.

Hobbled LeBron with decent AD beat the Suns in 6 at worst, Nuggets in 5 at worst, Clippers sans Kawhi+ in 5 at worst and the Hawks in 5 or Bucks in 5 or 6. And this is with trash shooting.

He isn't a great fit, like Dennis, maybe even worse

A better overall playmaker, but even a worse shooter

Longer than Dennis, but a worse defender iirc from some numbers

And now coming off a major injury

And if he opts out out, then we would need a sign and trade, which would hard cap us.

And I wont be hard capped for him lol

Still think Hield is the most sensible guy rn

If we can somehow pull off a sign and trade, seems like Lowry would be the guy

Edit: If he would sign for the mle and be our backup pg or opt in and we can get him for Trez or maybe even Kuzma, then it may make some sense

Then let Dennis walk or hopefully get a trade exception or even a useful, but overpaid guy

I don't see anything that supports them steamrolling to the title like that this season.

If it was last season's Lakers, I'd agree.
