highly doubt it and think he actually has a chance to climb into the top 5.

So just drafting someone to defend against the fast PGs is kind of a waste. More than likely that small defender will be hunted by big forwards.
He's only played 13 playoffs games but he's already averaging about double the FTAs that Curry has in his entire playoffs career. NBA officiating is protecting him, for some unfathomable reason.

They listed some of the prospects with the highest verticals measured over the years.
Most of them never became anything. Pat Conaughton, an okay role player, is about it.

That scrub Michael Jordan had a 48inch vertical.

Apparently MJ wasn’t measured in the combine because his name wasn’t listed.
I think Pippen also had great hops. But what mad MJ so effective was his ballhandling along with hops to get to the rim whenever he wanted. Then he developed a consistent midrange jumper, along with back to the basket game later in his career.

KevinMcreynolds wrote:Mitchell’s on the ball defense is impressive. Maybe the best lateral quickness I’ve ever seen. And since today’s NBA rules basically don’t allow you to challenge jumpshots, I don’t think his lack of length matters that much.

Plus his standing reach was suspiciously short (how they gauge the vert numbers). I think its a situation of him being an elite athlete but probably a few inches over-stated due to his wrong or cheated standing reach. Just my guess though.

He's a good player - couldnt disagree more about length FWIW - but I think the issue isn't his skill or potential, I think its fit. Curry's our PG, and Poole's his mini-me. We'd be forced to play Mitchell with one of those 2 pretty much for all of his PT, and that would be 2 players with either severe defensive weaknesses or less ability to disrupt shooters on switches (where length is very important)
