I think i'm officially in the camp of trading 19+21 for Bouknight. He just projects to fit everything the Knicks need going forward. Yeah he has his warts but I trust Thibs and the staff to work on them. Out of the guys we can realistically trade up for he's the best upside play IMO. Either him or Giddey but I feel like Giddey becomes out of reach as we get closer to draft night.

this isn't even a high quality treadmill. this is one of those ones that fold up so it doesn't take up much space around the house when not in use.

And the motor goes bad in 2 years so you need a whole new one. Except it cost too much and you have to keep it for another 2 years so it sits in the corner with clothes all over it.

I'd add Obi to that package to get Bouknight. He'd instantly be the best perimeter guy on the entire team at creating for himself off the dribble...

Ceiling is probably a bit below Devin Booker, Donovan Mitchell because of his age and weak passing/outside shooting but if the Knicks get 75% of either of those guys, the young core gets a lot more dangerous.

I feel good about this draft if only for the fact that we're not picking 8th or 9th.

We've fcked up all of those picks all the way back to Sweetney.

Frye, Jordan Hill, Knox, Frank, Toppin. Whew. Ranging from completely awful to "Serviceable, but had much better players drafted after them." Picking in that range you'd expect "quality starter" at least. And you'd think one out of all those 6 would be really good. I reckon Obi has a chance to prove me wrong over time. Do it, man!

IQ at #25 has already shown more than all of these guys

So here's to hoping that area of the draft proves to be our sweet spot

he has a lot of physical tools. Would take a lot of time with development but he's one of the big upside guys in the draft.

I think he didn't start playing organized basketball until he was 15. So basically he is just going of instincts and athleticism right now but there is a lot of potential.

My guess though the Knicks would select Isaiah Jackson from Kenucky (obvious connections) over Kai Jones, Rim running big with elite shot blocking and ability to guard on the perimeter. Kinda a souped up Noel.

If OKC keeps their pick I could see them go Barnes, Kai, and Zaire and see who works with Shai

I really don't think there's a need to throw Obi in there tbh. Knicks should focus on continuing to build Obi's value up so he can be used to either get a bigger fish down the line or maybe if we eventually feel comfortable with him replacing Randle we can move him

If we believe Davion Mitchell can be our PG of the future at #7, then do everything we can reasonably do to get that pick from the Warriors. Whether it's saving them salary or sending them Obi and more... just get it done because PG is and has been our #1 need for the last couple of decades.

Plug Davion in at PG, plug RJ at SG. Leave Randle at PF. Then see where else we can upgrade talent. Maybe we can make a promise to Johnny Juzang and grab him to be our SF of the future (or at last he can audition for the role). #19 + cap relief for #7. Grab Johnny with #21. Something like that.

It's not a treadmill at all. Last year no playoffs, this year 4th seed with a 1st round exit. If the same thing happens next year we can talk about tread mills.

But even then if its the result of staying flexible so we can pounce at the right opportunity then so be it IMO.

A lot of really interesting prospects that would help fill holes on the Knicks.
