didn't see this and don't know him.. will look him up.. Like "who can run an offense" and "Big"

playa-hater wrote:My list of hopefuls ranked.

Based on ceiling and Fit combined

Tier 1 * players who I wish were available (slight chance) but probably not gonna happen.

1-Roko - best combo of talent/skill/need
2- JT Thor -maybe the highest upside
3- Greg Brown - my personal highest hope for.
4- Trey Murphy - sticking with my OG Anoby comparison.

Tier 2 * decent chance

1- Vrenz Bleijenbergh - some experience and physical strength away from being a serious talent IMO
2- BJ Boston - perfect example of the type of wings I like.
3- Isaiah Todd - high ceiling IMO
4- Miles McBride * despite not needing his position as much- Colin Sexton lite
5- RaiQuan Gray - if he proves his shooting is legit
6- Joel Ayayi - more as a Big PG/Combo guard
7- Kessler Edwards - TJ Warren lite IMO.
8- Jericho Sims - one of the few centers
9- Jermiah Robinson Earl (would rank higher if we didn't make trade for Moses)
10- Marcus Bagley - most underrated SF

*** I am sure I forgot someone. (or didn't include due to not believing available in our draft spot)

*** did not include too many centers for obvious reasons.. (we are loaded at that position).. Finally !!

OH and can we buy a damn pick Stevens???? 8-)

There are some obvious standouts here that will certainly boost their stock like Jericho Sims and Joe Weiskamp. Definitely think they will rise up draft boards. Miles McBride too.

There are also some sneaky good results in there for players like Jason Preston, Kessler Edwards, Nah'shon Hyland, and DJ Steward. I wonder how big a leap they will take because they are currently projected right in our range at #45

Someone else posted about him a few pages back but he is definitely growing on me.

Starting to think he'll be gone by 45

Anybody know anything about Matthew Mayer?

Looks like a decent prospect but has limited stats. Thinking maybe it's due to playing on the guard heavy Baylor teams but he's got a decent stroke and solid physical skills and size.

Sleeper?

1) Nice list.

2) Based on a few mocks I checked out yesterday, it seems highly unlikely that the following guys will be there still at pick 45:

Boston, Roko, Thor, Murphy, McBride. If 1 of them slips, you take him but it seems very unlikely.

Bagley, Robinson-Earl and Brown will probably be gone too, but a slight chance they'll still available.

3) 4 other names you might want to check out:
-Santi Aldama
-Moses Wright
-Joe Wieskamp
-Isaiah Livers

These 4 guys above are all very intriguing to me and all 4 will likely still be available at 45..

And if you like McBride, check out DJ Carton. Carton is similar to McBride, one poster in the NBA draft forum on realgm actually ranks Carton slightly higher and Carton will almost definitely still be available at 45 whereas McBride will almost definitely be gone by our pick..
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)

Good list. Curious why Moses affects your thoughts on Jermiah Robinson Earl?

Back in guys we could actually get category.

Herb Jones: 7' wingspan, 8'10" standing.
Kesler right behind him: 6'11" wingspan, 8'10" standing.

Because I believe he can be a 4 man in the regular season, but see him more of a small ball 5 man come playoffs. While being pretty good on the perimeter for a Big, not to my liking as 4 man defensively.

Defensively speaking he is built perfectly for today's game. a stud of switch-ability.

Scottie Barnes with a 42 in vert, too. Damn. HIs max reach plus vertical puts his hand six inches from the top of the backboard, is that real? Scottie Barnes with the second-fastest shuttle run, ninth-best lane agility. Someone was telling me he wasn't athletic a few months ago.
