There's a point at which you switch gears from "man, this umpire is bad" to "man, someone should see if that ump's doing okay", and that point is three blown calls in two innings.

Apparently this is the first time in a decade that we've won three in a row without a home run?!

Reese McGuire has the 5th highest OPS+ (117) on the active roster (no PA minimum), ahead of Biggio, Brichuk, and Gurriel (among others).
Maybe McGuire should protect Hernandez in the 5-spot.

Nick Nurse recounting his first meeting with Kawhi:
“We could have gone forever. (Raptors management) kept knocking on the door and I was like, ‘A couple more minutes.’ Because we were really into it."

Reese McGuire has actually been good in three of his four stints with the team. But last year he had a wRC+ of something stupid like -57

McGuire is getting super lucky right now. He isn't making great contact, but he's carrying a BABIP of .377. When that normalizes, his numbers will be much more in line with what you'd expect from Reese McGuire.

**** your asterisk.

It’s only a matter of time before the real Reese is exposed.

And I'm sure he's prepared for that. Reese knows that you sometimes get hot and just absolutely explode, but then your bat goes soft for a bit and you feel a mite embarrassed.

That's just in mall parking lots. The rest of the time he's stolen Danny Jansen's luck.Schad wrote:And I'm sure he's prepared for that. Reese knows that you sometimes get hot and just absolutely explode, but then your bat goes soft for a bit and you feel a mite embarrassed.

tabby seems all in all a decent guy, but once he suggested that semien bat 9th upon springer's return, that was it for me. he and leo can retire at any point now.

Bautista outplays his contract by more than $70 million over the next four seasons (2013-2016).

Don’t tell Tabler that, he will be completely confused.

About 5-6 weeks into the season he called Bichette the Jays best hitter.
He just likes to fill dead air with nonsense.

If I covered my face with a blanket, I fear that Tabler would be completely confused by my disappearance.

I, for one, am convinced Reese will never stop hitting.

He's probably watched the 2015 Royals a lot.
