Wiseman, 7, 14

#1 Overall (For Cade, obviously)

Givony said he thought Detroit would do that. It's very interesting but only leaves the MLE and Vet Mins left for us. But it's intriguing.

I would absolutely do that. Make it happen!

Then flip the #1 to Houston for #2 and Woods and draft Jalen Green lol

as a GM you never make a move like that. you only gamble with every dollar if you are on the hot seat otherwise you keep the #1 pick 100% of the time.

What if we did Wiseman + #14 for Bagley + #9.

Don't know if Sac would be interested though.

Why would we be interested in that? Who are we moving up for, and where does Bagley fit on our team?

My thought was we may be able to grab both Moody and Barnes while adding a talented stretch big man in the process. Seems like Bagley needs a change of scenery.

If you think Wiseman's value is low, Bagley's is dumpster diver level. I don't even think he's tradable due to optics. Their best route would be to wait until his deal expires, hoping he turns it around. Otherwise a Kelly Oubre type player is his ceiling in the trade market.

Why would we be interested in that? Wiseman a much better prospect than Bagley. I don't think picks 9 vs 14 is all that different.

What....wait. We KNOW Bagley sucks....we've only seen a half season of Wisman and he's two years younger. Moving up a few from 14 wouldn't do it for me.

Thinking about it, I wouldn't be surprised at all if GS trades for Simmons. Just seems like a very Lacob thing to do. He is a risk taker and knows that high level talent needs to be snatched up if you have a chance. If the FTs can be rehabilitated you essentially have a Draymond clone that is much younger and much bigger. Trading the 31yo Draymond (blasphemous, I know) a little early rather than a little late for a buy low Simmons could go either way but as a calculated risk may be the prudent thing to do.

Simmons presents the Warriors with the first opportunity to transition away from Draymond, IMO. Draymond has probably one or two more years where he is starting the downside.

I think I would move Draymond and the two picks for Simmons....allowing us to keep Wiseman for future considerations (have Poole and Wiseman and that's enough future star stuff!)

Curry, Klay, Wiggins, Simmons is a great defensive 4....

I would put Simmons at center...so he can play in the post and not hang around outside waiting to skip shots....

JTA or Paschall could play the PF spot ....or we trade re-signed Oubre for some help there.

Would you do Wiggins, 7 and 14 for Ben Simmons?

Yes. Because even if Simmons/Draymond doesn't work, you have the option of moving Simmons for a haul or Draymond for a role player that fits better.

If Simmons is worth a haul, why wouldn't Philly take that haul now? Wiggins and 2 picks don't make a haul.

I definitely would not. Huge risk to gamble all of our big assets to change Wiggins, someone who has fit in well here, for Simmons, someone who might not. I really dont like the idea of Simmons/Draymond, because they are both huge offensive liabilities when they dont have the ball in their hands. A big man is probably going to be guarding them, which means that guy can sag off and clog the lane, making it tougher for Curry and Wiggins to get inside...

I dont see a legit path to Simmons, even though I think his negatives have been way overstated. You probably dont want to have him and Draymond on the same team, and I dont want to trade Draymond for him (and doubt Philly wants that either). And I'm definitely not on board with adding picks to him while he got the Biedrins-level yips.. not a fan at all of bringing Simmons on board this year

Haul might be the wrong word. But a trade that remedies our needs when this doesn't work out is a better phrase. I don't think Simmons gets worse on the Warriors.

By the way, let me just go on record to say that the Sixers would never accept this trade because they would be crazy to do so.

Personally, I wouldn't do it if I were either team. I think it makes both teams worse.
