I mean yeah I get that, but you’d think they would have at least announced it during the early rounds of the playoffs.

At this time McMillan may not want to talk about it until the playoffs end. He likely will be getting multiple offers after cranking up the Hawks so well in short order. He's got all the leverage at this point.

This is it right here. He was very cautious in taking the job at first since Lloyd Pierce is his personal friend but Pierce was the one that pushed him to succeed him. He probably felt a bit miffed that they did his guy wrong and may not want to permanently coach for an org that did that, who knows.

Devin Booker is a purer shooter, but man Cade isn’t far off percentage wise, taller, a better passer, and looks like more athletic. Can’t help but think about our future watching these games

Rick Carlisle back to the Pacers...that's interesting given the fact he's one fine coach!

Jason Kidd coaching Luka? Not sold on Kidd as a coach though.

Carlisle to the pacers should be a very good move. More interested in what direction the Pelicans go.
Mavericks and Kidd feels equally public relations and fit, possibly PR more. Rate they are going I fully expect Jim Jackson and Jamal Mashburn to be hired by them soon.

Kidd is a bad coach, just as bad as SVG is nowadays, his teams after he leaves always got better. I'm surprised he got one more chance like this, especially to an organization that had rampant sexual misconduct in their front office and Kidd is a notorious wife beater. On second thought, of course Kidd gets hired by them.

But Luka is a diva so maybe Kidd and him both deserve each other in a strange way and can make it work.

This Bucks team when locked in looks extremely ready. The last 3 minutes of the 2nd quarter was a slaughter. Bucks end it with basically a 20-2 run

The Mavericks right now feels like the Knicks firing Larry brown and letting isiah be the gm and head coach of that mess.

Lukas a diva, and I fully expect him to try and force his way out of Dallas.

Aye. It's funny, had the Mavs not wasted Dirk's prime and thanks to Dirk turning into God himself in 2011 for the chip, they wouldn't really be any better as a chaotic destination than the Knicks are prior to this year.

Mavericks are about to be a train wreck. It’ll be sad when luka forces a sign and trade from a team that was kind of built around him.

It will be nice for people to see Cuban for who he is though.

Chauncey is the Blazers coach.

Wonder how Dame likes that after endorsing Vanderpool for the Wolves job...

On the Mavs:

Kinda funny how they went from "OMG they're gonna be great" to absolute chaos.

New GM, new Coach while Finley and Mosley get passed over? From all reports their home grown guys deserved their chance but Cuban went elsewhere

I always felt like dame was a supercharged chauncey. This feels like a great hire and a desperate one at the same time. That’s a lot of pressure for him to figure it out in his first year on the fly.

Hopefully Dame puts pressure on the FO to upgrade the roster.

They have some kids with value - move them for better now pieces and see what we see.

Big question has been and always will be:

Does Dame want to be a one team franchise player regardless of titles?

Championships are not guaranteed. Look at Brooklyn!

Excited for Billups to finally get that head coaching chance. He was rumored to be the Cavs choice back in the summer LeBron left for LA, but turned it down likely knowing that LeBron was leaving. I think Billups has been pretty key in the Clippers making adjustments and coming back from some 0-2 deficits in these playoffs.

Good situation for him in Portland, but also there is an expectation to win as well. I think Dame has only one or two more years left there before he decides to team up and win somewhere else.

It'll be interesting to see if Billups decides to bring any other former teammates on board his staff. Especially Sheed who has some assistant coaching experience and obviously has a lot of ties to that franchise.

It sucks that we gave away Middleton for free in the Jennings trade. Jennings had no trade value since he was holding out for a big contract when there wasn't really a market for him at the time. Yet we gave away BK (who I understand was expendable) but KMid was a sweetener for no reason. Part of the reason Dumars really lost his mind that year

Funny enough a healthy BK would be a perfect guard /starter in this league. Hits the 3 and plays defense in his prime

Watching the playoffs it just goes to show that length and shooting win in todays game. Hawks cannot matchup with Middleton at 6'8 or Giannis at 6'11. That's why drafting Cade is so crucial. Now we need some guys over 6'10 to play inside

Fortunately for Atl, Middleton plays 2 crap games for every good one.
