I would be surprised if we see Keston again before September.

Wonder if this means they're going to give Zach Green a shot, he's hit the ball well at AAA and can play 1st and 3rd. Travis Shaw needs to start hitting again or his days could be numbered too.

The brewers don't have any hitting, but they have 3 elite starters and Hader at the back end. So their strengths should play well in the playoffs, particularly if they acquire a 7th inning guy in a trade. It will be nice to have a Milwaukee team that over-performs in the playoffs.

Do you foresee them making any moves to get more bats or do you think the front office is satisfied with their current production?

I'm sure they'd love to, but they don't have much to trade. So, maybe an old guy they hope will be revitalized for the home stretch of the season or another AAAA guy, like about half of our position-player roster.

Shaw is out until August, at the earliest.

FWIW, there's no inside information in the original piece. It's just the Athletic's Brewers writer speculating that the Brewers would like Story because, "Who wouldn't want Trevor Story?".

Hopefully Stokes wears #69 with the Brewers if and when he is called up as well.

Stokes’ name sounded familiar….he was drafted by the Brewers years ago.

so is it too early to think they'll be in the playoffs? Are 3 stud starters and a manure pile on offense enough?

Fangraphs has their odds at the playoffs at 87%, 4th highest in baseball.

The stinkiness and overall magnitude of the manure pile has dropped precipitously in recent weeks. Now they're just kinda meh

They hit .234 in June, which was 23rd in baseball in that span.

Cubs were dead last - .188. Good times.
