He wasn't the reason they lost but no more Moore please. He brings nothing to the table in this matchup.

He has to try Carter for a few minutes. I hope Payne can play, and looks 70-80%. He caused problems for them in game two, and was solid defensively. Moore just looks disinterested, or like he is playing in garbage minutes.

Post Game Presser everyone sounded pretty calm.

We have some issues but that gives me confidence we'll get the real Phoenix Suns back for Game 4.

They just need to figure out how to deal with Beverly. It's Pat **** Beverly!

I also think some people are really underestimating Booker's injury. A broken nose like he has must be so painful and uncomfortable to have, let alone play a basketball game with it with somebody as irritating as Pat Bev guarding you.

He also looked to me like he was avoiding contact or turning away from it, specially on defense. When he was about to be bumped, you could see him kind turn his body to the side every time. Which is only natural if you are in that situation. I don't even know how he managed to put that screen for the game winner in game 2 but I guess the adrenaline kicked in.

I believe by using Carter, we could give them some of their own medicine. Put Carter on Beverly/Jackson. Make him play super-tough defense. Get both of those guys out of rhythm. Get Booker and Paul some fresh air. Monty needs to destabilize Beverly and Jackson.
To be honest, I don`t fear PG and Mann. They will get 45-50 points in total. But if Monty manages to neutralize Beverly and Jackson, I see Phoenix taking Game 4 by a healthy points differential.

Screen, screen, screen, attack, attack, attack. No standing around. If that means we use more bench players to keep fresh legs on the floor, then that is what we do. Everyone hustles or you sub guys in who will hustle. No hero ball!

Booker and Paul will not have another shooting night like that again. Hopefully Payne plays in game 4. I think we take the next two.

-Yes to unleashing Carter, we got our own, less annoying version of Pat Bev that refs may or may not let allow impact the game. But the whole NBA is suckers for narratives, and if Carter can come in and do what he knows how to do, they may allow it.

-Like others have said, we missed shots. We need to drive, drive, drive. They got almost no rim protection. Booker's mask might be affecting his shot - so **** take it in hard and get the foul shots/and1

Bad shooting and bad decisions last night. If Zubac is guarding CP3 PnR is a must, for example.

Is it too late to buy Lindsey some tickets (if she doesn't have them already)? Let's do a gofundme for gas money/plane ticket/hotel too.

Am I wrong to be pretty concerned about Cam? I just think the breather time he gives Book and CP3 is vital. And obviously he was playing well.

I get injuries happen to every team and he's at least not one of our stars, but seems pretty damaging nonetheless if he can't return.

Does that fact that he couldnt make it back last game suggest it's more serious than a mild sprain?

No, ankles are no joke. We don't know how it will impact him but with his fast style of play it could. Hopefully it is not serious and they just kept him out as a precaution to not make it worse, and will ice it and make sure it is all good to go for game 4. If it is not clearly near 100%, I would hold him out one more game just to make sure he is full strength going forward. At worst we are then 2-2 with having never been 100% with full health.

Agree even if he's not back until Game 5 I would be a bit relieved. That's better than a Kyrie situation.

I might think about Carter if Payne is out. Not if he's healthy. While he can bother guys down the court, he doesn't have the length to do much in halfcourt, especially contesting shots, so he's a bit useless there. Payne is the better guy with that with a far better handle, shot and finishing at the rim.

I might consider Galloway for the offense and shooting. He was a solid 3 pt shooter at over 42% to Carter's 34% with much better overall efficienty with a TS% over 60%.

It's as important to keep up offensively then putting a little guy on someone defensively just for full court pressure.

I have a feeling if Payne is still out, Monty will stick with Moore though...and somtimes just when you think he shouldn't be playing, he has a solid game, so you never know. He also has the best handle of the reserve guards.

Carter has been pretty good with his 3 point shot this year and plays pesky defense. I would go to him next game and rest Payne for game 5 hopefully.

Return to Phoenix Suns
