Do not want
My picks:
2020 Draft (3rd pick) - Tyrese Haliburton, Devin Vassell, or Onyeka Okongwu
2021 Draft (11th pick) - Moses Moody

I was rooting for Mitchell and will probably root for him still in the NBA, but he has too many red flags for me.

1. He turns 23 in September
2. He was only productive one year in college
3. His 3 pt shooting was 28% as a freshman, 32% as a sophomore and 45% as a senior. While his free throw percentage went down from 67% to 66% and then finally 64% this year.
4. Lastly, he did not measure well at combine. 6-1 with a 6-4 wingspan which pretty much means he has to play the point.

Are you excited with him running the point as a starter for the next 5 years? Seems like he is destined to be a backup point guard and to me that is not worth taking in lottery no matter how good his defense might be.

I’d be much higher on him if he were about three inches taller

Those shooting percentage trends and difference between 3PT% and FT% are wild

I just don't think we need him unless we plan on losing all three of Rozier/Graham/Monk

He's going to be a useful player in the league but his upside doesn't scream top 5 pick, so I was surprised to see ESPN hyping him like that during the lotto show. At 11 he's probably a solid but not spectacular choice, I just don't see how he finds minutes unless Graham and/or Monk gets shown the door.

Jaden Springer is already a better player than Davion and he's 4 years younger.

I find it crazy that he and Donovan Mitchell are supposedly the same size. Donovan has to be the biggest 6'1 player I have ever seen, while Davion looks Kemba sized (same T-Rex arm syndrome too)

Probably because Donovan has a 6-10 wingspan which is 6 inches larger than Davion. Also Donovan is the far superior athlete.

Davion is solid, but offensively he was the third best guard on Baylor this year.

bev also useless in series vs mavs. great luxury to have for contenders, not as lotto bpa for young team in need of real 2-way skilled players. add in his size to a team that us already undesized and its a very hard pass. we can get by w/ cody as our when-needed guard stopper for now.

Donovan Mitchell measured 6'1.25" barefoot and 6'3" in shoes at the 2017 combine. Davion 6'0" and 6'1.25" this year, so, nope. Whatever Utah's up to is misleading.

Also ranked in the top 10 with a 41.5" vertical so at the very least the kid's aptly named. Solid combo-guard size, 6'4.25" in shoes with a near-6'8" wingspan.

He's from Charlotte too, Dad played professionally and his cousin is DeAndre Bemby (who is also from Charlotte).

Jaden is not a very good athlete in all honesty, I would probably rather have Davion over him just because I know what I am getting with him.
