For some reason I've been feeling like that as well.

Masai will need to make a choice on if we're going for a rebuild or a re-tool

That would not be the reason. However if the team dynamic changes how do you demote him from first option with anything less than a trade?

DeRozan managed when Lowry got here. Lowry managed it when Kawhi got here.

Siakam had his shot at first option for two seasons now and it hasnt worked out.

Regardless, it's not Toronto thing, it's a winning basketball thing. If Siakam is your first option, you'll never win anything. Doesn't matter what jersey he wears.

Only works if Lowry agrees to sign long term with 76ers. Decent trade or who's getting screwed??

TOR
Wiggins & Wiseman

PHI
Lowry, Hood, GS 7th and 14th Pick

GS
Simmons, Seth, TOR 46th & 47th Pick

Simmons doesn't have that kind of value, Warriors are getting screwed. From the Raps perspective I'd do it for #7 instead of Wiseman, but again the Warriors giving up all this to swap Wiggins for Simmons is unrealistic. I'm sure some Warriors fans would even call that 1 for 1 swap a downgrade with Simmons recent performance in the playoffs.

How much is Richaun Holmes expected to get?

I wouldn’t mind a center rotation of Holmes and Birch. We don’t necessarily need a star at the 5. Just solid enough to not be useless like Baynes

I agree , would be an awesome move for the Raptors. It could put them back in the playoffs with the right moves and draft picks

Option 1: Get another Mid/Late FRP in a deep draft (might happen)
- ex. Trade Boucher + SRP(s) to GSW for #14

Option 2a: Rebuild with another Top 5 pick (unlikely)
- Trade Boucher + Siakam to GSW for Wiggins + #7 + #14 + Wiseman
- Raps then trade #7 + #14 and/or Wiseman to ORL for #5

Option 2b: Taking on a bad contract (unlikely)
- Trade Siakam + Protected Future FRP to CLE for Kevin Love + #3

Option 3: Trading up in the draft (hopefully happens if Green is still available)
- Trade Boucher/Protected Future FRP + #4 for #3

If Dame’s mouthpiece in Haynes is reporting this, it might be real.

I don’t think we have enough and we’re not a team that would be willing to trade all of our picks either.

He’s probably headed to Philly where Morey makes a desperation trade of Simmons + all their picks for Dame.

What's the best rebuilding package we can get for Fred? He's probably a good fit with Suggs (if we take him at #4), but if we think Suggs is our future at PG, maybe we explore what Fred can net us in a trade to raise our ceiling at another position?

Easy:

Cap space get Lonzo

Draft get Mobley, Trey Murphy and Bassey

Exceptions get Birch

After signing Ball match/sign GTJ

FVV, Flynn
Ball, GTJ, Harris, Bembry
OG, Murphy, Watson
Siakam, Boucher, Watanabe
Mobley, Birch, Bassey, Gillespie

Some on 2ways

Ball can play the 1 or 2, whick means we can invest in big wings and bigs in the draft.

Hoping OG takes another step as a creator

Yeah, that makes the most sense. CJ for Simmons didn't really make sense, because Sixers would still need a distributor/PG.

I don't think the Raps want to give up half the rotation and #4 just to get a guy who's never won anything, as exciting as Dame is to watch. Kawhi, OTOH, we knew was a winner.

As long as we keep Pascal AND OG, and add a superstar, then the Raps can be a legit contender again.

Simmons will be hard to move.

2-3 year win now window, or have #4 (likely Suggs) for the next decade?

Who knew cbs was full of raptors fanboys.

Love how we can magically get lillard for just the 4th and future late firsts; not even salary going out to match.

Sign me up plz.

If it's a good "distressed seller" deal, the way the Kawhi deal was, then Raps do it. That means that OG, Pascal and Fred stay (just as they surprisingly did in the Kawhi trade).

Otherwise, I'm quite happy to play the long game. The offseason has been unfolding quite well.

I guess anything is possible with these superstars demanding out trade scenarios, but I don't see how we trade for Lillard while keeping FVV+OG+Pascal+GTJ.

How epic of an implosion would it be if Portland trades lillard and got back a package centered around gtiii and picks.

If it’s Suggs? I’ll take the window.

If it’s Green or Mobley? I’ll take the pick.
