In this whole playoffs only last game of Suns and Clippers was "defensive" game, mostly because teams were too busy throwing bricks to the point where Clippers missed 11 FTs ( main star 6 himself ).
You interview guy like him because he has good relationship with Luka Doncic and because Luka said he could be coach in nba?
There is video that is year old where Jamahl is slapping Luka in a face and you can see in Luka's reaction that he is not pleased. However, it seems like they liked each other given everything Luka told.
But to understand that relationship you have to know that Luka's career long coach is Pablo Laso, guy famous for yelling all the time and having that "tough love " approach so it's probably what Luka is used to.
I'm not sure Magic or any other team's players will be pleased with that approach.
Defense first because a lot of it is effort. Plus everyone loves to play on offense but when shots stop falling, what’s going to keep you in the game is keeping the effort going on the other end. A lot of players start hanging their heads and decreasing the effort when that happens.
