Yeah and it's actually the biggest difference between him and Simmons, Giannis takes his job seriously but doesnt take himself too seriously. It must be kind of what Pop meant when he said "we're looking for players who can get over themselves"

The disrespect is baffling - considering what he's accomplished at 26 years old, how hard he's worked to get here, and the respect he shows to everyone he works with.

We must cherish every second of this kid. He's having an incredible run and he's about to unlock a new level with his steady focus on the mid-range and painted area. If he just gets comfortable with a 15-foot mid-range shot and polishes up his jump-hook he's going to destroy the league for the next 5-7 years.

Strangely enough he's quickly becoming, by far, the most disrespected superstar in the league in the national media. Maybe it's because he has the disposition of a goofier version of Duncan, who knows?

They have to show this video to Simmons on his new team when he gets traded.

Perhaps it's just a product of our rage based media? This all reminds me of a similar overachiever, good guy that gets constant hate from the media when they should be a darling- Andrew Yang.

Giannis got the LOOVEEE of National Media when he got the back2back MVPs. He lost it cause of Playoff failure.
If Giannis gets the ring this year... he will gain the respect back again...
I just Love Charles Barkley ... he is truly an awesome basketball mind. Love his humor and I agree most of time with his opinion. He loves Giannis and has pointed out what Giannis should do early like alot of us here, which was post plays.

If he gets the ring, the narrative will switch to “Giannis has done all he can do in Milwaukee. Time for him to shine in a bigger market.”

The "love" will only go so far. Listen to Simmons and Russillo today and they're already preparing themselves to rank (potentially) either Phoenix or Milwaukee as "least impressive" champion because of the injury-riddled teams. Both of them kinda-sorta counter with "Well, Giannis has been terrific and he's a top five player...so there's that" but it was a very unenthusiastic, passive compliment.

Though Simmons did accidentally stumble upon a theme with Gianni these playoffs that has been overlooked. He's slowly evolving into the true PF/C (big) that he is by playing more on the block and attacking the rim and how teams can't stop him from getting a shot from the areas he wants.

This is, maybe, the most far-reaching development for not only the Bucks and not only this year, but for NBA hoops moving forward if Gianni makes that mini-leap into an unstoppable, and consistent, 15-feet and in presence in basketball. I'm loving that he's embracing bully-ball because that will be is niche as he's now entering the apex of his career.

Freak being a likeable, coachable and super-unselfish superstar *should* be able to attract some quality veterans looking for a potential ring if the Bucks come out on top this season.

Simmons and Russillo are in the same vein as Skip/Stephen A etc, just with less yelling aka not to be taken seriously.

Love the guy but Nike's consistently making him some of the ugliest shoes I've ever seen. Do not want.

Orange colorway makes the shoe look better than I originally thought and they look better on foot than I had first imagined.
