Agreed, but there is a chance a team would rather have the pick than Wiseman and we can offer to make it a three way trade.

Not saying this trade would necessarily happen, but here is an example.

Warriors trade: Wiseman and 7
Sixers trade: Ben Simmons

Sixers may value 11 higher than Wiseman because of Embiid. So Sixers would get 7 and 11 for Simmons while we get Wiseman.

Despite not liking him I would do Hayward and Washington for 7, Wiggins and Wiseman

losing Hayward would hurt but adding Wiseman, Moody and Keon Johnson or Wiseman, Barnes and Wagner to LaMelo is a pretty good stable of super young guys. Then probably in the lottery one more year and go full force with LaMelo's third year

Golden State is probably hoping for a Beal or Towns though

No way GSW does that, especially not without 11 included

He'd be an INCREDIBLE fit in Golden State though and might help open their championship window up for 2 more years.

I wouldn't do PJ + 11 for Wiseman. I'd do 11 for Wiseman, but not sure about PJ for him (I'm higher than most on PJ it seems).

Wiseman is really talented and has all the tools in the world, but he is a project and has no idea how to play basketball yet, so you have to consider that a big question mark and its too early for me to bank on him getting it eventually if the asking price is as high as PJ + 11.

Hes a huge athletic freak who can shoot and finish inside, so he'll stick around on rosters for a long time even if he never gets it, but he would need to become at least a borderline all-star to justify PJ + 11, so I think it would be too risky. Hes also coming off a decently bad injury and we don't know yet how hes going to look physically once he returns.

I see no reason why Atlanta would want to deal him, but I would also love to do 11 for Okongwu.

Wiseman's value did not go up this season, that's for sure. He might still be more valuable than 11 at this point, but not by a lot.

I would love to get in on the GSW Wiseman+7 bidding but I can't see it happening unless they secretly covet Rozier or Gordo.

I get you are saying no to PJ + #11 for Wiseman but are you also saying you wouldn't do PJ straight up for Wiseman?

I don't know if I would. I think PJ is a bit underrated (Id hard pass on him for Myles Turner straight up, for instance) and I would prefer to be able to see how Wiseman looks on a reconstructed meniscus.

We don't know what they're looking for with Wiseman. The names that are being thrown around are all-stars...Beal, Siakam, Towns.

It's not alarming that a team that wants to win the championship next year would want an all-star in their prime for a talented but still developing big. Especially in a system that's as notoriously complex offensively but especially defensively as GSW's is.

The only trade to make here is Hayward and Washington or #11 (but probably more realistically Hayward, Washington, and #11) for Wiseman and Wiggins.

Gentle reminder that Hayward has a 15% trade kicker talent aside hard for me to imagine this team paying teens of millions to trade him

Hayward in the lineup we went 25-19 as opposed to 8-17 without him. I know he wasn't only guy out during that stretch, but that is a pretty drastic comparison.

He also averaged 20/6/4 on 47/41/84% while also leading on our team in free throw attempts per game. I get he was injured, but he raises our ceiling in terms of being a dangerous playoff team more than anyone we would probably get back in a trade.

We are on one of the deepest teams in my opinion, and we are adding a lottery pick and still have 20 Million to spend. Not sure we have to make some crazy trade at this point that hurts our depth.

I've been coming to the same conclusion. Adding to our current roster rather than sacrificing depth to trade for someone like Turner seems like the smart move. It would be different if we were capped out and about to lose players because we couldn't pay them. That isn't the case, so unless a reasonable trade comes up where the other team doesn't demand the sun and moon just focus on free agency and the draft.

The primary reason I'd be on board with sending out Hayward is he just doesn't fit Melo's timeline, but I don't disagree with the point that when healthy he was productive.

Really everyone on our team that plays major minutes is under 23 except Rozier and Hayward. I think you can worry about that too much tho, not every single player you have has to be in the same exact timeline.

Hawks have some older players in Gallo, Capela and Bogdanovich who are all between 27-32 years old. That is a good balance with Hunter, Young, Collins, Reddish and Huerter.

Sure, but given Hayward's age and injury history, I wouldn't mind getting some younger core pieces and then using FA and trades to get vets like ATL did.

I just would not at all be surprised if Hayward plays less than 50 games next season, and if there is a good chance to cash in on him for core pieces that better fit our timeline I'd be down. I'm not like OMG he sucks let's dump him, but at the same time for me he's absolutely available for the right price.

This is the train I've been on ever since the season started. If we can fill our center spot by trading him, or acquire a pick that can get us one, then send him away. I think the signing was a mistake but I wouldn't send him away for free.

What was our record after Hayward went down? If we were to trade him we better get pretty damn good value for him

Hayward was having an excellent year pre-injury and I am not entirely sure we did not ask him not to return last season so that we would have a lottery pick. The team is much better with him as an unselfish vet floor leader and his skills fit in anywhere. I do not want to trade him at all barring a really sweet deal. I think that with adding another good young player via the draft and a couple of mid tier C's to our hopefully COVID free core it will be enough to get in the top 5 of the East. Next off season will be critical though as we have to decide on extensions for Rozier, Bridges, PJ etc.

If we flipped Gordo this summer, what might that say to future possible FA’s about coming here, knowing we messed him around after just 1 season with us after doing nothing wrong (other than the unfortunate injury - which is not his doing)?

To me that's a totally overblown (and defeatist) mindset to have. Players go where they get paid the most and/or can play with buddies or a contender and/or a city they like. You think Hayward or his agent would be mad that he got traded to play with Steph, Klay, and Draymond?

Do you think trading him to anywhere else is going to be the deciding factor for someone like Richaun Holmes to pick a different team?
