tradeable Assets : Duncan S&T, Herro, Precious, Dragic, Iggy

Interesting names to target : Sexton, E.Gordon, C.Wood, Norman Powell, Dipo for cheap, Lowry, Prozingis (if very cheap)

Names I'd stay away from : Wall, Lonzo, S.Adams, Drummond, Schroder,
why? he can still rebound well and can be a threat on the floor plus would compliment bam and dedmon off the bench nicely

Ain’t gonna lie I’d trade a Jimmy for Wiseman, 7 and a future pick or Wiggins lol
Then find away to get a franchise PG with the assets we acquired.

Heck, I've already traded Bam and change to Houston for #2 pick, and Herro, Achiuwa, KZ and change to Cleveland for #3 pick.

Just maybe there some leggs to this. I don't know if he pushing Heat name because thats what he wants or something he is hearing but can't say its what he has been told.

I do not trust Kawhi, I have a homeboy that knows him. He even describes him as a dude that doesn't say much. I would suspect if Kwahi spoke on where he wants to be it will travel fast and he will tell specifically the person who needs to know. The way Kwahi operates i don't know if the Heat are comfortable with it.

I am going to assume if Leonard wants to move to Miami he will make sure that message got to the Heat front office.

Also Leonard joining the Heat might make Lowry join at a discount

Just watched a vid that made a case for Mia to take a chance on Tyreke Evans as a reclamation project now that he has been reinstated.

A cheap off the bench playmaker with size and can score sounds pretty good to me.

Just cause our dudes are trash doesn't mean we have to take on other's more expensive (therefore worse) trash.

Duncan surrounded by all that talent? I'd put my money on him playing well. Big diff between playing w/ Miami Heat, who lack scorers, & playing w/ a stacked team that can open up your game.....especially Duncan's, who's reliant on getting open.

We didn't need him embarrassing us on the world stage.
If u don't want 2b here, the way things work, u don't like it, then don't b here. U have 2 stand on something. If Miami ain't standing on something, they become alot of these organizations trying 2 find their identity. This is the culture, bro -Wade

Duncan would have been perfect in the Olympics with that squad. He’s not in i’m guessing cause of free agency.

Big part of here wants rebuilding . But let's be honest, Pat is so hot on a championship. there is a zero chance we rebuild now.

It's a waste of time and resources to add any non shooters next to Bam and Jimmy. If Drummond wants to take the vet minimum to play the Dedmon role off the bench - fine (I'd much rather just keep Dedmon).

But you simple can't afford to play any minutes with 3 non shooters on the court these days. None.

With a Bam/Jimmy core we're already starting the roster build with a huge shooting/spacing deficiency, following moves should address it and help strengthen that skillset, not worsen it.

why for gods sake, why.

Wiseman doesn't look like anything more the average at best (he's awful right now)
#7 has a very limited ceiling this year,
Wiggins is at best meh.

The name of the game is NOT to collect as many average players as possible - it's to get 3/4 of the best players available and compliment them with cheap role players.

We have 2 players that are good enough to be in that "top 4 core" - Jimmy and Bam.

We need at least 1 and probably 2 more players that are good enough to be considered that
. Since we're not getting a true superstar like a Lilard - we'll have to find a way to add 2 borderline stars and hope they and we overachieve a bit.

Lowry + Christian Wood
Sexton + Love
Healthy Dipo + Prozingis

Whatever you think about those players - they (on paper) have the potential to bring the skillsets we need and the potential to be good enough 2 way players to be considered a top 4 player/core player on a great team.

If 2 of these names play here and play well, and Jimmy and Bam do their part - we'll be good enough to make real noise.

I don't know if Pat would be interested. Kawhi never seems to be happy, and unlike Jimmy it's not clear what would make him happy.

Reports are that Kawhi did ask Jimmy first, when going to LAC. He then said get PG, when Jimmy said he was going to Miami.

It’s possible those two are friends and talk regularly - well Jimmy talks & Kawhi listens. He’s a good listener, perhaps not an active listener though.

Maybe Kawhi wants certainty, clarity and accountability from a FO. Some people actually need that wall to be constantly pushing against, and when they fee what it’s like to have the freedom they just don’t like it. Jimmy will keep Kawhi accountable - He ain’t no Wiggins, he’ll toe the line and thrive in Miami. Plus, Heat are secretive and cryptic as f*** about injuries, which suits Kawhi perfectly.

Signing him as a FA is a bit of a pain. But if he tells them he leaving and arranges an extend-and-trade (like KG or Melo) then it’s possible.

I actually think maxing Kawhi for 4-5 years is gonna be a tough decision for any team at this point. He couldn't even make it through the 2nd round after playing a mere 52 RS games and that degenerative knee is only gonna get worse from here. The days of this guy spearheading a sustained playoff run are most likely long gone

The man left one of the best organizations in the NBA.
He left a championship team.
He appears to want to leave an organization where they're letting him call the shots.

Nothing makes him happy.

As far as I can tell he wants to play only when he wants to play, get paid 35% of the cap for it, and blame others when **** goes wrong. Pandemic P is out there winning playoff games and series without him, so it isn't a lack of talent around him.
