Wade played in Miami his whole career...he knows Spida doens't want to stay in Utah.

Donovan is a east coast guy...he doesn't want to spend his entire 20's in Utah! I don't blame him!

A tale as old as time, and none of these guys ever take the QO. which would think is something to consider if you're going to complain about supporting cast.

I think if we go the Lowry route, then we go all in on Beal or Lavine. That would be my approach. Lowry/RJ/Randle is a good trio but is still missing an iso bucket scorer late in the game. If you can avoid putting Mitch in a Beal trade, then even better.

It helps unleash Randle as a defensive and short roll beast in the pick and roll. Also gives him a trio of good shooters to kick out to in Lowry, Lavine and now RJ.

The question is what will it take to pry one of those guys out of those situations. How many picks plus Obi and IQ does it take? Can you avoid putting Mitch and RJ in the deals?

Derozan would help but I think he still cramps the spacing too much because him and Randle both love the mid range area and then you have Mitch as a non shooting threat. I would actually sign him as a 6th man if that was the case and start IQ with Lowry.

I could see an off-season of Lowry (2 years) + Hart (3 years) + Richaun Holmes (3 years) + retaining Rose, Taj, and Bullock. And shedding Knox and Frank.

Lowry, Hart, RJ, Randle, Mitch
Bench: Rose, IQ, Bullock, Obi, Holmes

The team fights for the 4-6th seed.

its probably too light. They have no use for 2nd round picks. Probably sub a couple of those 2nd round picks with 1st round pick swaps and add another 1 rounder.

4 1sts
2 1st swaps
Obi

you might get there attention.

did isiah thomas buy the knicks when I wasn't looking? Throw in MSG while you're at it.

What do you think the going rate for a 22 year old emerging star is?

I like them but still needs a real sniper/bucket getter/get-your-own shot guy.

So it's a given now that he's the next Steph? Maybe for Levine who's proven himself a bit more. Even then 4 firsts plus 2 pick swaps is too much. Grow our own stars for a change. we could have had SVG, Halliburton and Donavan just by drafting right!

Yeah, but we're kinda due; been a long time since Ewing. Besides, Dolan has the money - didn't he hire the best guys? Everyone on here was singing the praise of Alter, etc. Now's the time to prove it!

Or we trade the team for an SVG, he has an injury and we end up with Noah JR and another decade without picks to restock the team.

I like the idea. But I would go with someone like Kendrick Nunn instead of Hart.

Or sub out Bullock for Hart - better rebounder, still good D and not just a perimeter guy waiting for a 3 pass.

The good thing about bringing both Lowry and Derozan on for just a couple of years is that both are free agents so we don't have to trade any of our draft picks or young players, we would absolutely be a playoff teams and will make some noise in the playoffs and there's actually good big name players that will be free agents in a couple of years when they both come off the books. So our young guys get some time to grow and we get to keep adding young guys through the draft for the next couple of years. Are we gonna win a championship with that team? More than likely not but we'll give teams some good series in the playoffs and make it through the first and maybe 2nd round if we're lucky.
