Hawks vs Bucks -- Part 4: The Force Awakens

Post#1 » by Jamaaliver » Tue Jun 29, 2021 2:01 pm

Hawks look to even series vs. Bucks in Game 4

Image

The Atlanta Hawks face a 2-1 series deficit Tuesay evening vs. the Milwaukee Bucks after a tough loss on their home floor in Game 3 on Sunday. Perhaps even bigger than the loss was Trae Young injuring his foot late in the third quarter, putting his status for Game 4 in question. Young’s MRI Monday revealed a bone bruise to his right foot.

The Hawks will obviously have to make considerable adjustments in the event Young is out or limited, as obviously so much of the offense runs through his creation for both himself and others. Guys like Bogdan Bogdanovic, Kevin Huerter and Lou Williams will have to take an increased role on the ball in that circumstance.

Atlanta finds themselves right where they were in the second round, trailing two games to one at home after suffering a defeat on their home floor. The resilient group is at risk of being pushed to the brink, and will need to come up with answers in Game 4 — with or without Young — if they have high hopes of extending their season to the next round.

Atlanta faces the tough test of both defending the Bucks in the paint (something they haven’t done well this series) as well as generating offense with a potentially damaged engine. Their shooting kept them competitive in Game 3, and they’ll need more of that in Game 4.

Bog can start but his minutes must be limited if his knee and shooting continue to hurt us. While it's a team effort he was a liability for us last game.

Milwaukee played like they should in game three. Productive on both ends of the floor and they took advantage of our mistakes and misses.

Let's hope some homecooking changes that. Our fans are hyped and the most excited they've ever been. Let's get the WIN!

They should just sit him. he was crap in the playoffs before he hurt his knee. Now he's even worse. rather give his minutes to Snell at this point.

Boginis definetly a liability. He is hurt out thinks he isn't and has been jacking up brick after brick for the last several games. He shot us out of game 3.

Trae Young (right foot bone bruise) has been ruled out for Tuesday's Game 4 matchup with Milwaukee.

This is absolutely devastating for Atlanta, with the Hawks already down 2-1 in the series and also missing De'Andre Hunter (knee) while Bogdan Bogdanovic (knee) has also been less than 100%. They're going to need a herculean effort from guys like John Collins, Danilo Gallinari and Kevin Huerter on offense tonight, and we might see Lou Williams log heavy minutes as a starter. Rookie Skylar Mays could also get some burn tonight.

Incredible defense in this first half! And important, they kept their lead in the last 2min of the first half
Hawks lead 51-38

Lots of guys with fouls, but no one with more than 2. Need to keep it clean like that in the second half!
Reddish had put some pressure on Middleton, and Okongwu is fire when guarding Giannis.
And already 8 steals, 4 for Bogi.

Special game with the injury of Giannis when he was playing better, but Hawks were still in lead by 10pts at this moment, and they kept their great defense.
It will be hard decision for McMillan to play Trae in Game5, or let him rest more.

IMO, the key for this defense was changing the lineups frequently, which help keeping all players fresh. He used the depth of the roster, and even if I didn't like that he played Bogi too much in Game2, it looks like his knee is getting better, and that Reddish got enough time in Game2 to be ready today, and he defintely helped to limit Middleton.

To avoid a Game7 in MIL, let's hope they can take this next game ! Go Hawks !
