Smart man that Looney.

And I for one am happy to have him back, think he's a great guy to have as part of a C rotation.

Detroit Pistons

Why for Dallas? They move a player who seemingly doesn't want to be there and bring back a proven veteran in Barnes who can play the 3 and 4. The team also brings in a respectable Center who is dynamic offensively.

Why for Detroit? They pick up a mid-lottery pick and take a look at KP, hoping he can get healthy and also get Marvin Bagley who is in need of scenery change.

Why for Sacramento? Upgrade Barnes to Grant (Its an upgrade, right?) and get a dynamic back-up Point Guard who can play on and off ball.

Only focusing on the Detroit part. Porzingis goes against what I want Detroit to do, but I like the idea of trying to rehab his value and we get a 2nd lottery pick for our trouble. Also get to take a one year flier on bagley.

Considering the bulk of our roster would be on rookie deals for the length of his contract, it makes an interesting risk vs reward move.

You’d have porzingis/Stewart/Bey/Hayes/let’s say Cade with the best shooting wing or combo forward at 9

Its an interesting core.

Are you expecting Lakers to go into Free Agency as is and get into a lengthy wrestling match about contract with Schroder or are you expecting them to choose an alternate path for a PG fairly early?

Knicks, Dallas, Hornets, Spurs, OKC and Raptors are the franchises that can offer him 100M or more in free agency. Of those, none need a $100M PG. Knicks would rather move forward with Rose and Quickley, Spurs have Murray, OKC has SGA, Toronto has Van Vleet, Hornets and Mavs have their franchise players playing that position.

Schröder's agent might start prepping him now to keep his expectations in check.

Who even wants to engage with that?

Imagine walking into a room as an NBA executive and having Dennis freaking Shroeder tell you, with a straight face, that he's demanding 25-30mil a season.

I'd laugh until he left.

There are a class of agents that are happy to feed into this insanity, knowing that they’ll be fired as soon as this offseason, but they’ll still legally get a cut of any contract he signs.

In my mind, Schroder has solidified the idea that he's really good off the bench, but pretty meh as a starter. You don't pay those guys that much money.

Jalen Brunson reads that Schroder article and immediately goes to the Bentley dealership.

How much would Utah need to add to a Favors for Wright swap?

Should probably be nothing or maybe a late 2nd. Both solid players with potentially bigger roles on their new teams particularly if Conley leaves. But Kings fans seem to have no interest in trading their 4th guard to upgrade their front court which right now consists of Barnes and uh well Barnes really.

I was going to propose a #30 for #39 swap, but it felt low for SAC at first glance.

But if Conley walked I'd really like Wright in Utah.
