Any combination of these players, and I'm set. For now.
But I highly doubt JJ will be available at 14.
Seriously don't get the fascination w/ JJ. Any player that quits on his team mid-season screams immaturity at best and head-case at worse. Even if he's there at 14, let some other team deal w/ that headache.
It could also be bad advice from his team. They saw Wiseman shut it down last year and it didn't hurt his stock and others have done similar things in the past with good results.
The fascination is because of the clear talent he's displayed. Him shutting down his college career is a business move IMO, you can argue whether it was a good one or not, but I don't necessarily see it representative of who he is a as a person or player.
You may be right, but the talent makes it worth the gamble.
Take a look at the per 100 posessions numbers compared to Cade and Mobley, to me this is the fascination:
Cade: 31ppg, 9.5rpg, 5.6 apg, 2.5 steals, 1.2 blocks
Mobley: 28.5ppg, 15.1rpg, 4.2, 1.4 steals 5 blocks
JJ: 30ppg, 16rpg, 6apg, 3.1 steals, 3.3 blocks
I know, I know sample size and all that, but damn that type of production is the definition of high upside. Plus hey Kyrie played less games with a similar strength of schedule and turned out great. Here's Kyrie's college per 100 numbers and I'll throw in Jason Tatum, just for fun.
Kyrie: 36ppg, 7rpg, 9apg, 3steal, 1 block
Tatum:29ppg, 12rpg, 4apg, 2 steals 1 block
