I was really worried that his fall might have a major negative impact on his his career. I was there when Parker went down, and this looked much worse.

I might have accidentally sold my soul for this result.

Worth it.

This is all just part of the movie script for this season’s championship. The part where we think Giannis is out for two years, but he actually comes back in game 6 and 7 and puts up 40/15/10 and carries us to the finals.

That sets up Middleton for his greatest series ever, where he averages 35 ppg and wins finals MVP, but he gives the trophy to Giannis.

I kind of knew as he pushed his brother away in the tunnel and walked off on his own power, that he was not a human.

Have you always been the most positive person here or did it start yesterday?

For anyone (like me) wondering how this is possible - if this series goes the distance game 7 would be Monday 7/5. Using the 2019 finals as a rough guide that would put:
Game 1 7/8 (Thurs.) - 9 days
Game 2 7/11 (Sun.) - 12 days
Game 3 7/14 (Wed.) - 15 days

If he's really "doubtful" for tomorrow's game I don't see how he's not pushing to play by Game 3.

No. The finals dates are set in advance regardless of the conference finals.

Game 1: 7/8
Game 2: 7/10
Game 3: 7/12
Game 4: 7/14
Game 5: 7/17
Game 6: 7/19
Game 7: 7/22
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Not the most positive guy here, but not a doomer and gloomer like many on here. I just can’t stand the negativity now that we’re so close. We went through so many bad years under Kohl. I’m going to enjoy late playoff basketball while we have it.

Plus, it just feels like our year. Can’t really explain it, but when we somehow pulled off that Brooklyn series, it just felt like destiny.

Yes this is correct. I had forgotten they had done this due to the Olympics starting 7/23

maybe we should not rush him back, from some guy on reddit

Jonathan Isaac had a horrific looking knee injury in january of last season similar to giannis. He was also ruled to have 'no structural damage', diagnosed with 'posterior lateral corner injury and a medial bone contusion.' and he didn't return until the bubble where he proceeded to tear his acl in that same knee in his second official game back.

We were told that the ACL injury wasn't related to the january incident, but either way 'no structural damage' doesn't mean he'll be back playing soon. JI's inital prognosis was re-evlauation in 8-10 weeks.

I'm with you. Find a way to get by this Atlanta team and then we have some time. If he really is doubtful how do you hold him back a week from now.

Iam glad he has no structural damage which is amazing from what it looked like. Guy is cartilaginous like a shark maybe. Not everyone wants to see someone get hurt especially your MVP. I just went through it.

This is why I hate some of the post(ers) here. We jump so fast in terrible conclusions or solutions forced by pessimism and years long misery.

We get destroyed in game 2 against the Nets and coolhandluke with some other fellows are already done with Giannis as the main guy, want to trade him and blow everything up for a "huge turn back price" like its NBA2K which will make us instantly better, calling everybody who has other opinions dumb, giannis stuns or not brave enough to admit it.

Giannis hurts himself 2 wins away from the finals we are all waiting for the news and this random guy with 180 posts comes and writes that. Seven and 1s . MFs wait a couple of hours first ffs!

Swingman72 wrote:Giannis's blew his ACL and possibly his PCL from that type of hyperextension injury. I've scanned multiple knee injuries to know how this turns out. Giannis is done for at least 1 year. He's not playing next year and hopefully will be able to play the following, but he will never be the same explosive player. The problem is, that's all he really has. After his athleticism is gone, you've got a non shooting big that has lost his step.
As a Buck's fan, you just have to realize this team is cursed and move on. I've waited my whole 49 years of life to see a Buck's championship and after tonight, I'm hanging up the hope and moving on. Just not worth the time and heartache to continue to follow this team.

All I'm saying is if you had to wait for 50-60 years whats a few hours, days or years of prime Giannis more before you give up all hope? We've been blessed by a loyal cyborg Superstar with clear faults and also clear super strengths. Khris Middleton is inconsistent but also equally loyal to the Bucks and amazing fit with Giannis. Jrue played terrible so far but also clearly as best as a third guy we could ever aquire. Coaches and our shooting has been trash but easily replaceable on a contenter.

We are playing in a league who supports superteams and large markets. Every year superstars screw their teams up to hunt easy rings with other beta superstars and the media aplauds them for that. Winning on the hardest road is not an easy task but with Giannis on the Bucks we will always have a chance. Keep believing.

Now I'm done with this subject. I'm too happy to keep fighting right now. Lets beat the Hawks.

In most things with life starting any insight off with “some guy on Reddit” isn’t good advice.

I know this board was overly pessimistic, but you have to remember what we have been through. Like our All-NBA mascot torn his ACL falling through the hoop after he was knocked off the rim when he got hit in the nuts by an errant basketball at the all-star game....We've been through a lot.
