Numbers, not good.

Eye test, good shooting form and knows how to read and pass in PnR. But horrible scorer.

Not with our 28th pick. Maybe with our 2nd. Definitely have him for try out.

Ef the numbers, look at how many unassisted buckets he scores. Pure shotcreating monster. Also, really strong passer. Was a PG off the bench as a freshman. And he's 6'5" 210 with a 6'10" wingspan and 40 in vertical. Johnson is going to be a wayyyyy better NBA player than he was a college player. He has offensive star upside. Indy version of Malcolm Brogdon upside. Don't sleep on this guy, people will regret it.

Looking at Brogdon. He’s numbers are actually pretty good even on his second year. He’d be a lotto player for me if he declared for the draft by his second year.

Im not saying Johnson will be bad or is a bad player. I actually think he’s underrated as a playmaker. He seems natural in running pick and rolls.

No he’s not lol Coby can’t playmake for bananas same with Sexton. 6th man types what can you achieve with Sexton as a starting PG... not much because both isn’t one.
Small undersized 20ppg scorers are a dime dozen. You can legit make Shake that if you really want to.

Garland is a legit trajectory 20/7 true combo guard, not some masquerade undersized scoring guard. He can shoot the rock and has a wicked handle and is a savvy passer and playmaker you watch out :)

You're crazy bruh lol

Coby White is clearly a significantly better ball handler and scorer off the dribble than Garland. He was in college and he is in the NBA. And he's a legit 6'5" 195 pounds.

Garland actually is a dime a dozen player, though. He's a typical 6'1" 190 pound guard with a good j but a mediocre slashing ability and ball handling. He has way more in common with Sexton than you think. Only difference is he cares more defensively and passes more. But who cares about passing, literally anyone can become a distributor.

Yes but we’re experts here so we can add another dimension to the discussion.

Cameron Thomas. I think he has a good chance to be as good as Booker.

He’s better off as a secondary playmaker, just as what Booker is to CP3. Would love to have Thomas if I have a PG like Suggs.

Thomas and Maxey could be a nice pair.

What can u guys say about Jaden Springer? A scout ranks him higher than Suggs as per CBS. He’s still raw but already efficient. His shot shows promise to be better. He can get to the rim at will and I do think he has the athleticism to be a good finisher

Cam Thomas has the cardinal sin of prospect stat grouping for me: sub 2.0 STL%, sub 0 DBPM, sub 10 AST%, sub 50% 2FG.

I don't know how he got the green light to shoot 17 times a game at LSU.

Nice, new video dropped. Once he works on using his body more near the rim, he's going to be an unstoppable scorer.

Hahaha yeah thats why im asking. Because i have a bad feeling that LSU kind of padded his numbers given his low shooting %

But I like his motor and upside as a scorer. I think he can a TJ Warren type scorer

Reminds me of a PG version of Josh Jackson

2nd round or a tryout after getting undrafted.

Yea, except he's infinitely (and I mean that seriously) a better shooter and not a headcase. Also not as turnover prone.

Actually, I don't really see the similarities other than they are both high effort/high IQ defenders. Josh Jackson was absolutely elite at scoring at the rim while McBride is decidedly not.

McBride's numbers look strong. Tankathon has him mocked at #43. Right before him is this guy, whose numbers look insane.

Any thoughts on Hyland from the draft watchers?

:D

Big fan.

I have him 13th on my mock

76ciology wrote:My mock 3.0 (based on eyetest, trend and data)

Possibly stars
1- Green (3 level scorer with highest upside)
2- Cunningham (i find him as a weak overall #1 prospect)
3- Kuminga (because of upside and skillset to play SF)
4- Suggs (can run modern offense)
5- Wagner (2 way wing who can shoot and run PnR)
6- Mobley (high upside but who cares. He’s just gonna catch lobs lol)
7- Tre Mann (elite PnR and elite shooter off the dribble)
8- Bouknight (projects to be a high level PnR scorer)
9- Cam Thomas (underrated possibly the best scorer in the draft)

Likely role players
10- Barnes (a winning player but limited on halfcourt)
11- Osunmu (gets to the paint at will on PnR)
12- Moody (efficient shooter, youth and length)
13- Hyland (1.023 ppp on ISO 6th overall; milton 2.0 role)
14- Jalen Johnson (solid starter PF)
15- Butler (elite c&s player. Milton 2.0 role and upside; low FTr)
16- Mitchell (low FTr and size issue)
17- Kispert (can play that joe harris role)
18- Chris Duarte

Will need a season or two to get thick though. He’s gonna be a liability on defense. Not quick enough to defend guards, too thin to defend wings.

His numbers definitely pass the smell test, but man, his tape didn't pass my eye test. I've tried to like him, but he looks just meh. I'll have to check out a full game to get a better appreciate I suppose.

Really good 3&D prospect. Has marginal upside as a creator, though. He has enough base level handle to not be a standstill scrub. But he definitely doesn't project to be great on the ball.

You know how all the geezers get hated on? Well, it's the opposite with Primo. He's getting a lot of irrational love because he's so young (won't even turn 19 until Christmas)

He's like a cross between Immanuel Quickley and Tim Hardaway Jr.

Personally, I'm not a huge fan. Don't think he puts any pressure on defense, just bombs away passively.
