Trade the picks.

Trade them all for future picks 2-3 years donw the line.

At least the 1st rounder and one of the second rounders. It is the smart move long term and short term. The pick as an asset is more valuable in trades the next 1-2 years that whatever player we pick, who even if he outplays his draft position, likely wont see the court anytime soon.

We have no control over our pick the next 6 years. Pushing our first this year down the road helps soften that, and a future first we get in return, cant be much worse then #27 overall.

Same with the second rounders. push those down the road. keep some ammo. If we want to try and find a diamond in the rough sign 2-3 undrafted players. push those seconds to future seasons.

If its not for future picks, make another shamet like deal.

I agree, we're not drafting 4 kids, but you don't need win now players for the 10th-15th spots. Sprinkling in some developmental prospects on the dirt cheap is necessary.

you can fill those with undrafted guys. whoever we would take at 59 isnt going to be some big upgrade over whats left over after the draft.. probably true also for 44 and 49

Super deep draft this year. Bassey looks like a solid center I could see him paired up with Harden doing some serious damage plus he rebounds and defends well.

We need roleplayers with the dog in them. I've read this kid's back story and have seen the footage. 12rbs a game, 3blks per in college? Draft him.

Draft a Center and give him some minutes.

Who will we get in FA agency? Some old broken down Center?

We have seen rookies contribute to title teams before.

We have a First Rounder.

Not to mention what rookie has ever played with this much talent?

Trade the first round pick. Use the second rounders and stash them in the g league

Terrance Mann is a prime example. This is a deep draft and we’ve gotten Claxton out of a weak draft at 30.

#27 to me is basically a second rounder, but if you want to include picks 25 or later who contributed to a contender, thats cool too.

as far as "playing with more talent then other rookies" that isnt exclusive to rookies. vets, FAs, trades, etc all would play with that same talent. a 27 pick or later would still need to be a much better option then the bruce browns, blakes, and tyler johnsons, and shamets to contribute.... as is, guys like claxton and alize johnson cant find minutes.

maybe we find a diamond, but thats rare. and even guys we hit on like Kurucs who played a role in the past would struggle to find monutes with the current roster

Claxton is a 2nd year guywho didnt play/barely play with the "big 3" nets.... especially post blake era.

Mann is a second year player. he barely played year 1.

Excellent rebounder, and looks like he could be a legit shot blocker. As bad as we struggled on the glass and interior defense, I take this kid. There is a lot to work with here despite his needed areas to improve in.

We do not need to play 5 out basketball to win. We need to be better on the glass and have some semblance of interior defense. Kevin Durant shouldn't be our best shot blocker and defender. Give me this kid, and get me PJ Tucker in free agency.

Chris Duarte is my trade up guy. We should move Shamet for him.

Yeah, I think that Duarte can be an efficient low-end rotation player immediately.
