Out best chance to get a superstar is Dame wanting out and make a 3 team deal of this nature. If Dame wants out Portland is probably rebuilding, they gonna ask for young prospects and picks.
Hate to give-up Maxey, but if thats what it takes then I’ll do it.
I like the idea of starting both Maxey and Dame. Then have Seth and Shake or some guard who’s better off the bench.

Don't count on it. Even if he wants to improve, he has like 3 months to potentially overhaul his form, unlearn bad muscle memory/habits, and build confidence in a his new shot/form. Obviously, this process should've started years ago. Next best time is now, but even if he does, it's a tall order.Arsenal wrote:No chance in hell I take Brogdon and a likely low 1st for Ben. If that's the best offer just hold onto him. We need to get either a superstar, or someone who could develop into a superstar in the deal. That's not Malcolm Brogdon.
Hopefully these rumors of being sent to NBA Siberia light a fire under his @ss to finally improve.

That being said, definitely agree as long as they have Embiid in his prime, they should be looking to find someone to upgrade and that's not Brogdon. It's a good starting point I guess though.
Also, there's a hope that if he has a little bit of improvement at the beginning of the season, that teams could have some confidence to develop his offensive game and his trade value would probably go up a decent amount.

who's defending opposing teams guards on this team?
On the flip side what happens on the first game when they hack him and he misses the shots, then has a horrible game? We won't even be able to get Brogdon then. He needs to go this summer for the best package, because his value can definitely decrease.zaz102 wrote:Don't count on it. Why do you think so?PhilaOwnsBoston wrote:Jason Dumas is fake news.
Although, #13 and Malcolm Brogdon as a starting point is interesting. Loop in a 3rd team where Indy sends out Sabonis and that 3rd team sends Philly a starting wing and another pick, and we are getting much closer.Arsenal wrote:No chance in hell I take Brogdon and a likely low 1st for Ben. I don't agree that you have to get an all star back in a trade for Simmons. You just need valuable assets that can be flipped easily for a star.

why do you keep mentioning it? Sabonis and Turner also sucks but Turner is at least willing to just spot up all day....Embiid much less so.

Morey might have to get creative with something like this.51X3RF4N wrote:Maybe something like...eyeatoma wrote:Yeah agreed there.51X3RF4N wrote:Although, #13 and Malcolm Brogdon as a starting point is interesting. PHI in: Brodgon, #13, #12, White
PHI out: Simmons, #28
Indy in: Simmons, Poetl
Indy out: Sabonis, Brogdon, #13
SA in: Sabonis, #28

San Antonio builds around Murray/Walker/Vassell/Sabonis. Better overall fit.
Indy gets Simmons paired with Warren/LaVert/Turner and gets a backup C.
Philly gets 2 ball handlers who can hit 3s and defend interchangeably. Also grab 2 picks in a row to either trade, or draft guys Morey likes.
