He would really have to like the Nuggets to agree to that

The chart provided by ProFitX takes into account injuries, age and on-court performance and shows a starting salary for Conley Jr. to range from a low of $16.3 million to a high of $21.8 million.

I like Monte Morris next 2-3 years a lot better than Conley.

If they get a free agent guard it’s got to be someone who can be a shooter. Or defender. Or both. Conley more of a traditional ball dominant p and r point guard

 are you really trying to say that a guy who is a 38% 3 Point shooter who shot 41% last season while being a guy who can run the pick and roll is not a good fit for this team? You obviously did not watch this team, especially in the playoffs for the last 3 years, where outside of Murray we had nobody that could capably run the pick and roll with Jokic, which is what our entire offense is based on.

What's next you going to tell us how we need to go get Westbrook and Simmons? There is a reason we all ignore your posts. Even after years of telling us we should trade Murray or MPJ with multiple picks for Gordon and then trying to take a victory lap after we traded Harris for him and he was worse than Grant just like I told you he would be.

Any interest in Reggie Jackson who has at times been excellent in the playoffs. He is on veteran's minimum and will be an unrestricted free agent. After looking good lately, I expect he will command more than the minimum but he is still likely to be cheap. The Clippers are going to want him back, however.

The question is whether his latest play is an aberration or not and whether he will come to Denver.

He grew up in Colorado Springs so he maybe willing to come to Denver.

If he accepts that he is really a bench scorer and not a number 2 scorer as he thought when he forced his way off of OKC than I would be open to him.

How do you guys feel about Duncan Robinson, maybe Denver and Miami could do some S&T with Barton, if he wants to go to MIA and Duncan wants to go to Denver, and Barton declines his PO.. With PJ starting for examlple, Duncan would be great 6th man option for us

No way he's going to be cheap after that performance, someone is going to overpay him (and probably regret).

He was on the open market for quite a while, he may have built some stock equity but I can't see someone investing a ton of money into him, his stock is well known around the league.

True, but all it takes is one team. Last season Gallinari got 20 mil. just to sit on the bench and shoot some 3s.

Can't see us being the team to overpay, MPJ and Gordon are better players than Reggie

That's my point though, don't think there's much chance seeing him in the Nuggets, since someone else is likely to offer more, both in terms of money and playtime too.

I am not sure if Green or Barton will be back. Additionally, Murray will be out for probably 70% of the regular season. They have no bird rights on Rivers who as a playoff starter will also command some interest and may leave. Millsap may retire.

If all that happens, the Nuggets may need to cover 5 positions with both starting point guard (temporarily) and 2 guard replaced (I see Morris as the backup point). They may have to find replacements such as a guard who can swing between the 1 and 2 and start when Murray returns. They also have to use an exception to sign such replacements.

At the forward position, I look for Nnaji to play more and fill either Millsap or Green's minutes. Forward looks like there are some in house replacements. The situation at guard looks far worse particularly at the two.

Without breaking up the big four, Denver is short of trade assets. This offseason they have to look at some cheap veterans like a Reggie Jackson (if still cheap). They may try to keep Rivers, Green and maybe even Millsap, all for the bench. Barton is a toss up.

I may be undervaluing Reggie Jackson but I doubt he suddenly is worth more than MLE and he fits our situation fairly well. At least he is the type of player they will have to look at. Either Barton comes back or the Nuggets have to find a starting two guard who can play some point.
Canned in Denver.

Gallo was healthy and played well his last year in LA and in OKC, while the $20 million is too much, the Hawks had to use to money and built credibility by signing him to that deal.

I am not so sure Jackson gets more than a minimum deal, he was waiting until damn near training camp for an offer this year. While his injuries played a part in it, the fact that he insisted on being a starter and forced his way off of the Thunder and reportedly had issues with the Pistons while there, has also played a big part in it. He seems to have had a good attitude with the Clippers this year, but there are reports that he is very close to Kawhi and that could be a key factor in his attitude. So how much are teams going to risk to sign a guy who is marginal at running an offense, bad at defense, and is best as a 3rd option or bench scorer? I can see him getting the tax payer MLE from a good team, but I do not see bad teams lining up to overpay him more than that. Too risky with his attitude/injury history.

Maybe unpopural opinion, but maybe Jeremy Lin? He is big enough to play some 2 when Murray is back and smart enough to help us while Murray is out..
But, i think we wont do much when it comes to PG position, we have Morris and Facu that can switch on PG and Howard deserves more minutes probably, I guess we could switch him to regular contract and maybe sign some undrafted rookie that can play 1-2.
I'm mlre concerned about SG if Barton leaves, maybe we can S&T him, depends where he wants to go, but can he actually find better situation for himself? What is situation like with JJ Redick, is he FA this year? Maybe try to get him? Also, I wouldnt like to keep Millsap even if Green leaves, we have 3 players to cover that position in Gordon, MPJ and Nnaji, I would rather draft someone that can cover 4/5 and maybe, just maybe, try to get Noel from NYK,he should be FA.
So, something like:
Morris, Lin, Facu, (Murray), Howard
PJ Dozier, Lin, RookieSG
Gordon, PJ, MPJ
MPJ, Nnaji, Noel, RookiePF
Jokic, Noel, Bol Bol

I wouldnt mind this team tbh, and we still have some places to fill if I didnt miss someone

One more player known to us, that I wouldnt mind bringing back, but not sure whats his status with injuries, is Quincy Miller, he had some nice european games

Lin signed with Beijing Ducks few weeks ago :) Reddick idk, he looks washed. If the Nuggets can't get a legit help, better they just keep what they have.

I mean, most of those Chinese contracts have opt out clause I think, he had similar last year if I remember correctly. And about JJ, we just need him for few 3z from the bench, he can do that better than Rivers I would say. ~20 more days before rumors start I would say

Opt out or no, Lin signed with them because he's completely washed. JJ is just old, maybe he can shoot better than Rivers (though judging from his last season idk), but at least Rivers can play ok defense too and is still going to be cheaper.

If Lin and Redick are the guys the front office wants to target than they should resign and let someone interested in winning take over the job. I don't know why it is so hard for some to accept but Lin was done years ago when he injured his knee so badly. Redick has gotten so old that Dallas wants him gone despite needing 3 point shooting badly.

We have the full MLE ($9.7 million starting salary), a tpe for at least $5 million, minimum contracts exceptions, the 26th pick, and may get a disabled player exception for $15.75 Million +/-.

We have
Morris/ Campazzo/ Howard (Murray)
/ Dozier/
MPJ/ Cancar
Gordon/ Green/ Nnaji/ Bol
Jokic/

Like Richard, If the worst we can do is bring back Rivers and Harrison, than I prefer that over Lin and Redick.

in a great offseason I would sign Conley for the 1 year injury exception, use the MLE for Malik Monk, bring back Harrison on a 2 way deal, use our pick for BPA, and use Bol with the TPE to either get a pick while taking back a iffy contract or to get a suitable big.

Speaking of shooting guards, any thoughts on Jordan Poole? I think he had a pretty decent season for the Warriors. He can definitely score and handles the ball well. And with Klay's return next season, Poole's role could diminish and he might consider having a larger role with another team.

Wouldn't object to Poole, GS has always been a good drafting team
