Very good article by Forsberg today. I think his mock offseason is about as good, and realistic, as we can hope for. If it plays out like that, I think we'll be quite competitive, and "in the mix" to win the East.

Edit: Didn't notice Forsberg's article was already linked to. Day late and a dollar short, per usual.

I doubt Madar is coming over for a flimsy two-way contract, but I'm often wrong.

So according to Mannix, if the Cs had reached out to Presti, the GM job would likely be his.

I really hope this crap with Brad becoming pres wasn't some financial move. That was the speculation at first, and the Cs have done some heavy PR to ensure everyone that this wasn't the case. But what a black eye on ownership if it was, and this Presti stuff just makes me smh and wonder more.

We don't need to use the MLE to sign Rookies (Madar and Draft #45). We likely would sign them to Two-Contracts, anyway.
If we're Trading Thompson and Carsen Edwards, then it should be for someone like Satoransky, using the Hayward TPE.

The rest of the stuff, may be Semantics. But, I think that the Celtics would likely do things a bit differently, than Forsberg.

Forsberg pushing that generic off-season plan. I mean, it's probably the most realistic, but pretty far from exciting.

You gotta hope that with Ime Udoka's rep around the league they may be in line for a cheap veteran signing in the off-season.

Just a few quick names of guys he's coached who are hitting the market:

Rudy Gay, Lamarcus Aldridge, Demar Derozan, Patty Mills, Bryn Forbes, Dewayne Dedmon, Josh Richardson, Mike Scott, Jeff Green, Blake Griffin, Bruce Brown. Not exactly a super exciting list, but if he can, for instance, recruit Rudy Gay/Jeff Green to fill in that "swing" spot, that would add a solid scorer veteran to the roster.

It sounds good to me with one exception. Rather than sign Aron Baynes, keep Kornet.

Agreed. Makes more sense to sign Kornet, IMO. -- Kornet can play the PF & Center positions. And is 9 years younger.
He also makes the 3 at a better clip than Baynes. -- Just seems more Flexible, to me.

I like Baynes because he can bang with Embiid, not stop him, just tire him out. Embiid always used to fade in the 4th.

If we re-upped Smart, how much do y'all think he would be asking for?

Watching this will put a big fat grin on your face. Timelord is a special player. Yes, he has had to deal with injuries, but when he is on the court doing stuff like this... What fun!

Thanks again to Tomasz Kordylewski for putting the video together.

Forsberg’s plan is the absolute worst-case, can’t get much done/play it safe scenario.

Jaylen "he'll never improve enough" Brown showed up a lot with the dimes in this video. Jayson "my favorite player" Tatum not so much.

Don't want to make a poll for this, but the 3 options of expectations for this summer's roster change will either be small medium or large.

what are you expecting? give some details.

If either Smart or RW get traded that would be medium I guess. But if both then that is a pretty big move. Neither would be small of course.
2 things need to go.. my lack of spell check and Joe..

Whether it’s insane or not I’m sure that’s about what he will be looking for.

That’s Brogdon, Gary Harris, Bogdanovic money.

Smart for CJ McCollum makes sense for both teams.

It would be a good trade for the teams that compete against he Celtics for the next several years.

Celts need more offense.

Blazers need defense.

We already saw the Celts against the Sixers and Nets this season.

Celts clearly need more shooting and offense.

That's something Smart can't do on a regular basis.
