Giannis finally made it to the NBA Finals ... by not playing.

Yeah, got into San Francisco yesterday. Was looking forward to watching the game as a nightcap. Oh well.

You're going to have to buy a half and half jersey for the Finals. Might as well have Doncic's name emblazoned on the back as well.

Game 3 or 4. Depends on what the series would look like.

If Suns blows out the Bucks in first 2 games, he might sit this out.

We knew the risks, and he owed us nothing - even if him & Bam share an agent. It’s good to see a superstar stay in the market that drafted them, especially when it’s a small market.

I’m all for player movement to the Heat, but short of that, staying with the team that’s invested in you is the next best thing. Except when that team shows Olshey-level mismanagement, then you should be able to bounce without fear of reprisal.

Really sucks about the poor seeding the Heat had. Could legit see them winning a championship with all these injuries stacked up.

I blame Spo tbh.

100% right on the seeding issue. If we were in the 4/5 match-up we’d probably have just wrapped up back-to-back ECFs. But, we couldn’t get right for long enough in the regular season to actually get to 5th, so we don’t deserve it.

If CP3 loses to the Bucks without Giannis he's going to have "loser" stamped on his forehead forever.

Some NBA fans ...

We really need to let Collins walk. He's not a game changer, and since Trae is our best player, we can't afford to max Collins. Losing to the Bucks wasn't Collins fault alone, but he certainly didn't do much to consider him a max player when Trae was out for 2 games. Jrue and Middleton did just that. They shouldered the load without Giannis.

Why do people get fixated on the "max contract"? If the Hawks max him out Collins will be ~ the 45th highest paid player in the NBA. Likely overpaid, but hardly a doomsday scenario. It wouldn't cripple their cap or their flexibility.

You don't let good young assets walk for nothing.

I'm rooting for CP3, but the Suns winning will only highlight our failure.

Our failure to draft Booker.

Our failure to trade for CP3.

Our failure to re-sign Crowder.

Our failure to trade up to draft Kaminsky. :nonono:
