Jrue Holiday Says Khris Middleton Is 'Heart Of This Team' After Making NBA Finals

The Milwaukee Bucks beat the Atlanta Hawks 118-107 in Game 6 to clinch the Eastern Conference finals 4-2.

The Bucks, who will appear in their first NBA Finals since 1974, were led by Khris Middleton's 32 points.

"It's been a long journey," said Middleton, reflecting upon his time with the Bucks. "But it's been a great journey. It's been worth it. After winning 15 games in our first year here and seven years not making the playoffs, to the last two years thinking we had a chance and just didn't do enough and now we're here."

Middleton scored 23 points in the third quarter, making the third time he's scored more than 20 points in the third quarter during his playoff career.

Jrue Holiday added 27 points, 9 rebounds, and 9 assists.

"Khris is the heart of this team. I feel like Giannis is the soul of this team, and without them, man, we really wouldn't be here," said Holiday afterwards.

The Bucks will play the Suns in the NBA Finals, starting on July 6.

Giannis Antetokounmpo is reportedly "day-to-day" in the series.

Jrue Holiday was the missing piece IMO. Trade looks better and better for Bucks. If the Bucks are going to win going forward they need a aggressive Jrue Holiday, and buy off from Giannis Antetokounmpo that the team flows better with the ball in Jrues hands. Game 5-6 hopefully gives the caoch and Giannis a glimpse of what is needed to win at the next level.. The perfect 3 potentially.

That Holiday trade was overpay but of it gets the bucks a championship worth it.. The same Hull got the nets Harden and Harden is wayyy better but of course he was injured so your better off with the healthy player at the right time and that's jrue but an over pay will look good if they win it if they don't not sure the next time they are here because they haven't looked good in the play off's but got through weak competition they will need another level to beat the suns and I don't see it..

[b]No Buck fan cares about anything but being in a position to win the championship. Harden might be a much better scorer. however fit and missing peices are what the Bucks were trying to accomplish in ther Holiday trade and signing. Jrue Holiday is the perfect fit to complment both Giannis and Chris.
