CLEVELAND PICK
How much would you spend to get that Pick if green is available?
TBH,I would do 5+8 for 3 if Green was available at 3 (I would even add a future 1st top 20 protected to sweeten the deal)
this makes too much team for both teams
Det:Cade
Houston: Mobley
Orl:green
Toronto: suggs
CLE: They would have the choice between Barnes and Kuminga (players that they would have picked at 3 anyway)
OKC:
GS:
CLE:Another lottery pick
win win for both teams
Fultz, cole, MCW
Green, RJ, harris
Chuma, ross ,bacon
JI, chuma, VET
WCJ,MO, wagner

1st: I think Houston drafts Green
2nd:
I dont know why so many people think Cleveland wants Kuminga/Barnes. Even before the lottery, there were tons of rumors they gonna trade Sexton. Sexton & Garland doesnt fit at all. 2 ball dominant players, who are undersized & cant defend. Not only that but they just drafted Okoro last year at 5. A raw, athletic & big small forward. Why they need another project on that position?
It makes much more sense for them to draft Green in case he is available & trade Sexton.
I can see them trading the pick if Green is gone but do we wanna trade up in that case? I'm not even sure WeHam takes Suggs if he is available at the 5th spot tbh (I hope they do but i'm not sure they take him over Kumingas/Barnes potential to take the 4th young combo guard).

ok ok

In the scenario Green is available @3 & they are open to trade him, i offer 5,8 & maybe the Denver pick. We probably need a bigger offer than Dallas for Doncic because i doubt Cleveland wants the players @ 5/8 as much as Atlanta wanted Trae. But definitely not one of our own future picks (unprotected).

They got Okoro for the SG role. In fact theyve been grooming him for that supposedly. They need a premier SF.

Re: CLEVELAND PICK
I have Green, Barnes and Suggs in the same tier so i wouldnt put too much value into trade. We have a lot of good players on the roster so i would be totally ok with putting Ross, Bamba, #33, depending on our evaluation one of Fultz, Anthony, Hampton. I wouldnt put 5 + 8 unless we are blown away by Green, but his lack of advanced feel for the game and streaky shooting give me some pause.
My money is on Banchero going number 1 !

Re: CLEVELAND PICK
Yeah, I think Houston is the team you're dealing with if you want Green, not Cleveland. So it will depend on Houston's board and how much of a drop off they see from Green/Mobley to Suggs/Kuminga/Barnes, and how much compensation they want for moving down.
Maybe 5 + 8 + Bamba gets it done? Gives them more of an influx of youth. Sends Bamba back to Texas, though I'm not sure how much value that is to either him or the Rockets.
Or, if their owner is feeling really cheap and wants to move Wall, maaaaaybe...
5 + Fultz + Harris - for - 2 + Wall?
This gives Houston more a cheaper rehab project in Fultz than Wall. Cap savings might be of value to Houston since their owner is apparently tight.
Though personally I don't think I'd be in a rush to do either, unless the options at 5 are Kuminga/Barnes. If Suggs is there I'd be happy with him. Barnes I like, but I'd probably prefer the gamble on Green at a higher price over the gamble on Barnes developing a 3pt shot.

I would offer 5 and the Nuggets 1st
If not you offer 5 and 23 bulls 1st
If still not interested, 5 and 8.
If still not, then walk away.

Re: CLEVELAND PICK
It would probably take both first round picks from Magic ( 5 & 8) to move up.
They would probably want to dump Kevin Love as well.

I would also add
5 + Harris or Ross for 3 + Love
This is a good draft and more importantly a good year to pick at #8 as well and have 2 top 10 picks

Too much, Green isn't a sure thing, seems its Cade and 3-4 other guys could be all starspepe1991 wrote:It would probably take both first round picks from Magic ( 5 & 8) to move up.

this here for me too. recent precedent has shown, you dont give 2 top-10 picks to move up 2 spots.
3 to 1, took one future protected pick. (Boston/Philly)
5 to 3, took one future protected pick. (Atlanta/Dallas)
I would offer 5 + Denver pick, our next years top-6 protected or Chicago, but not all of them. I would be willing to combine Denver/our pick or Denver/Chicago pick. But i keep #8 as there are still good players to be had at that.

Re: CLEVELAND PICK
I am high on Jalen Green but he isnt a sure bet to be a star. Im not trading two top 8 picks for a player who isnt a sure bet. Rather have 2 tries.
Also yeah, I am confident Jalen Green is going to Houston.

Re: CLEVELAND PICK
I’m not overly concerned with precedent on past trades.
If the Magic truly believe Jalen Green is going to be a superstar, then there’s no real price that’s too high to pay to move up. 5+8+more is fine. There’s no price too high to get a 19 year old James Harden (if you think he can be that good of course).
If they don’t think he’s that caliber of prospect, then obviously there’s no need to trade up. Just take guys at 5 and 8 and improve your team.

Re: CLEVELAND PICK
Cade and Green are the only players I’m interested in trading up for.
If they go #1,2 then we pack it in and stick with our picks.
If one of them (clearly Green) is sitting there at #3 when Cleveland is on the clock then I get on the phone and do not let the call end without an agreement. It’s that simple.
We need a supreme scorer on the perimeter.
I was pretty harsh on guys like Booker and Levine early in their careers. I see better now what can happen if the organization surrounds these guys with the right supporting cast. Not everyone is MJ or Kobe. Guys can be insane scorers and little more and the team can be great if the team is constructed well. Chicago is still lost but the Suns are the model.
So let’s get that elite offensive weapon. Let’s get Green. I don’t care about the cost. We have a ton of defensive supporting cast guys already to compliment said scorer well.

Crazier scenario is.
Cade goes 1
Green goes 2
Cleveland than goes with say Kuminga at 3
Who would Toronto go with Suggs or Mobley?
