With as shaky as Bichette has been in the field, it's surprising his fWAR is at 2.5 entering today's game. That's the 6th best fWAR among shortstops this year.

Tbh, for most of the season he hasn’t been that bad defensively. He got off to a bad start, but since then for the most part he’s been fine. Every now and then he’ll have a clunker of a game like today, but that’s to be expected with a young player.
