alonso isn't playing all dh, smith isn't playing all 1b games

using the dh for 1 player is dumb, smart people use the dh as a resting spot and smith being a good defensive lf means he could stay there.

And to his credit, Dom has turned himself in to more than serviceable LFer. That said, Dom will get a great majority of the games at 1B and Pete at DH.

nope they just took cheating out of the game. Cole and Chapman are nothing without the sticky stuff.

Castro for the mets is the most effected by it.

correct so many think the sticky stuff just helps you throw breaking balls better. But the RPM on peoples 4-seamer have completely dropped off. Those pitches have less extra kick into the strike-zone (making it almost look like the pitch is rising with late life).

Guys are now having the throw more breaking stuff because the fastball doesn't have as much late life.

Ouch, Cole really needs that spider tack?

if he's having trouble without the tack getting through the Mets lineup, wow the Yankees are ****. His velocity was there but looks like the tack is all about getting more spin which gives more late break on the ball.

and i'm telling no, that's not happening.

the dh in todays game is used around for everyone, the david ortiz of dh's is dead -- they don't really exist anymore.

alonso is good at 1b, smith is good at lf ... there's no need to lock them up in positions.

not only castro, diaz spin rate is down by 200 and his control has been bad.

I'm sure a lot of people used it. Diaz and Stroman actually have talent though. I am not worried about either falling off like Castro has.

Diaz why not being as dominant hasn't fallen off the planet like Champan so that's a plus

Who would have guessed Diaz had more mental fortitude then anyone. Diaz still rushes it up there at 100 mph. So until he completely imploads I will believe in him. Bullpen is pretty strong though to maintain a dip. Fam, may, and Lugo along with loup from the left side have been really good.

Just going to throw this out there. I think Mets should trade a bag of chips for Matt Harvey. Not like a bag of Cape Cod chips, but, I'm willing to send a bag of Utz to bring the band back together for a title run.

Correct. Which it will only even further prove degrom is the best and it's not close.

Remember there were arguments that Cole was close to Degrom. Arguably the second best pitcher at the time ,Cole cheating, wasn't even as good as degrom. How crazy is that!
