Even if Giannis can't play I think this will be a long competitive series. The Clippers played the Suns close most of the WCF without Kawhi, so I don't see why the Bucks can't do the same thing missing their best player.

The one thing that gives me pause is the coaching disparity between Ty Lue & Budenholzer. Lue has shown that he can adjust quickly and on the fly to put his team in the best position to win. Budenholzer on the other hand has looked overmatched and incompetent in a most of these high-stakes playoff games.

I'll go Suns in 6.

Has the potential to be an epic finals series if giannis is healthy. When these two sides met, I felt the suns had no answer for him. Ayton has the strength but giannis is too quick, too long and goes around him. If the knee can't go, he can't be the giannis we know.

This season:

Giannis vs Ayton: 10/24 (41.7 %)
Giannis vs everyone else: 17/21 (81.0%)

I didn't realize that the two Suns-Bucks games in the regular season were both decided by 1 point (both Suns wins). If those games are any indication, we're really in for an epic series. in the second game, Giannis didn't even play in the OT because of an injury, yet the Bucks nearly won if not for a sketchy foul on Booker's last-second shot.

Can't wait for this series to start. I just hope the Bucks don't wear those horrible and dumb blue uniforms they have.

Too bad he doesn't realize that neither team would be in the Finals had they kept him.

I have nothing against Bledsoe as a Bucks fan. I also hate fake quotes from trash twitter accounts.

The Suns are not likeable and they’ve been unbelievably lucky all playoffs long. The last series really cemented that. May their luck now run out. And Chris Paul always finds a way to disappear.

I mean, their luck is already continuing as Giannis is injured and might miss a game or two in the series at least, and even if he returns, he won’t be 100%. And for a guy who relies on his ability to explode towards the basket, knee injuries are a nightmare.

Suns have a very easy path to the title and I don’t see how they blow it tbh.

It's not like Suns hadn't had their own share of injuries. CP3 - shoulder, Covid. C. Payne, Booker - Nose, Even C. Johnson (might seem like a non-issue at 1st, but that caused us to play Saric way more minutes lol.)

Bucks in six assuming Giannis is in decent shape. They were fortunate with their path, but making the finals while shooting less than 32% from deep is still very impressive.

Judging by the Bucks fan posts in this thread, the Bucks have so much more depth than Phoenix and the poll says Bucks in 6.

I'd say Bucks fans haven't watched the Suns at all all year, except for the series against the Clippers, and are drawing massive conclusions from the Clippers series.

Or dont pretend a few people equals the fan base. People troll these forums all the time. Like I dont pretend the entire Suns fan base is as dumb as the guy who was trying to **** talk Bobby Portis, who played great in the Atl series.

As for depth, its always overrated in the playoffs. Anyways, no hate for the the Suns here, both teams have been in rough spots for a long time and if the Bucks cant win I'm glad a team like the Suns would be able to. Lets hope for a good series with zero injuries.

Clippers almost lost to a 1 player Mavs team with Kawhi. Clippers were 2-2 against Utah with Kawhi. Kawhi gets hurt, allowing other players to get those minutes and shine, showing their depth. Mann wouldn't go for 39 with Kawhi playing, and teams weren't expecting that (and weren't gameplanning around Mann or some of their other players).

You can frame it however you want, but nothing is clear cut. I can cite key injuries every single season. How about KG missing the playoffs in '09? Otherwise the Lakers likely have a road series against Boston again.

You didn’t add that James was playing hobbled and didn’t play anything like James, i.e., shooting mostly jumpers all series and showing none of the explosiveness he did even in diminished form relative to him during g the regular season before the high ankle injury.

Really cool for both fan bases. Congrats Phoenix and Milwaukee. I think I'll be happy with either team winning. I find them both to be likable teams

Pretty clear the Suns have a better bench. Its also pretty clear that it got used, it was needed covering for Paul's availability especially, and they performed really well. I can say as a Bucks fan watching the prior two seasons where the Bucks had the best record and much better depth than they do now, that for us it didn't matter. Because our depth wasn't better than their starters playing 40 plus minutes a night. When there is no tomorrow that's what happens, Coach Bud played our starters the same as he did in the regular season, playoff years past, and we all pined for more starter minutes. This year part out of choice and part out of necessity that isn't the case, so depth matters to me far less than it may have in the past.

"Bucks will be better if Giannis plays" is some real fine Stephen A. Smith levels of insight. Do better.

I don't see how you criticize PHX as having it easy when most of the other champions have been superteams that assembled with the specific intention of having as easy of a path to the finals as possible. You don't think it was easy for Steph/Klay)Draymond/KD Warriors or the Beatles?

The modern NBA has always been about making it as easy as possible to win.
